Okay back to the main plot because that song part will be useful for later chapters-

Also thank you all so much for 78 views! I'd be surprised if anyone stuck with this book for this long to get nothing-

Hita POV again but its the next day

"Alright, Sota. I found a little something in the ruins. I want answers. So, tell me what the hell is going on." Honestly, I might be a little bit pissed, but every time I bring up the ruins in private to her, she just avoids the question and runs away. I'm not letting her go this time.

"Fine! I-i'll tell you. Well, it's easier to just show you so here" When she finished talking, she reached into her satchel and pulled out a very worn and old book. One that had her name engraved in gold letters on the cover.

"W-what the- Sota did you take this?"

"I'm afraid so. But it has my name and information on my demon type. Turns out I'm royalty. I have no clue how exactly but my bloodline has 'royals blood' in it. This book answers almost all of the questions I've been needing to be answered for years!

I stood there. She seems like she's telling the truth, so I open the book to the same writing I could read in the ruins. God, I remember studying this language when I was a kid. This is more ancient writing though, I wouldn't be able to decipher or translate it to its exact form if I saw this as a kid.

Emiko POV

I'm walking with Yuki, we're off to the library because Hita said he wanted to have a talk with Sota, and he wanted us there.

"Looks like his chat has already started without us. He's holding some strange book." Yuki looked at me, before opening the doors, and hugging Hita from behind

"Okay, you lovebirds break it up. Hita how dare you start the talk without us" I sarcastically made myself look offended, but he knew I was joking

"Well two reasons, one, you already know this, and two, Yuki here wouldn't understand a lick of it anyways." Hita closed the book and handed it to Sota, making sure to leave a pink bookmark for a page.

"Hmm? Why'd you leave this here Hita?" Sota opened the page, understanding immediately. "Okay, now I get it. But why? What if I hurt someone doing this?" I could hear the shaking in her voice. Sota still hasn't fully gotten used to her own magic, so much so that when she tries it, I'm not allowed to be in the room.

"Relax darling. You won't hurt us. Even if you do, I have healing magic remember?" I gave her a kiss on her forehead, holding her by the waist as the other pair looked at us, somewhat in shock. "I have an idea, why don't I do the spell with you? It'll be fun! After all it *is* bard magic!"

"Wait okay that does sound fun to watch but what the absolute fu-" Next thing I see is Yuki covering Hita's mouth

"No swearing in front of the child Hita!" Yuki was looking at Hita, then at Sota, who stood there confused

"Well anyway, I guess you could play with me- although I'm scared someone will get hurt by me!" She pulled out a violin and a ukelele, handing me the ukelele, she pulled out some sheet music from her satchel, it read "Eda's Requiem" in big bold letters on the top, the paper had two parts as a duet, one for violin, the other for ukelele.

"I learned this song from an old friend, I figure we could play this song while doing the spell!"

Hita sat down as Yuki turned off the lights, leaving only a spotlight for the two of us to play. The timing was simple, 4/4 in treble clef, but the violin had all sorts of switching and terms I didn't understand.

Sota picked up her violin and counted us in, then she started playing the song

When we had gotten to the middle of the song, she made the violin louder as purple magic started flowing all around the room, causing Hita and Yuki to float a bit, I looked at her to see her tail and horns were glowing red again as she had a smile on her face. I started playing louder with her until the end when she left in one big swoop. Once the song was finished, Hita and Yuki started clapping

"Wow, Sota! Where did you learn this song from? It sounds so... so..." Hita was trying to find the word

"Romantic? Sad yet hopeful?" Yuki had somewhat of a smirk on his face as he found the words easily

"Okay, I get it! But yeah, It sounds so romantic!"

"Anyways where did you learn that song from darling? It really does sound lovely"

"I- Well-" She took a deep breath in as the topic was a bit sensitive for her. I was prepared for this and gave her a hug, allowing her to clear her thoughts before continuing

"My dad. Before he and my mom passed, they used to play this song together. It used to be called Raine's rhapsody but I changed it to Eda's requiem."

The rest of the time we had talking about Sota and her magic ended up making Hita late to go home, so he fled with Yuki, leaving us alone

"So darling, we're all alone here~" I made sure to say it in a smooth tone so she could hopefully pick up on what I'm getting at

"I- wait- oh no- no no- I'm bout to pray to Jesus you don't do anything-" Sota then got on her knees and started making the praying motion as I laughed

"Pfft- I'm only joking relax! I wouldn't do that. Unless you want me to?~"I smirked as her face turned red

"I- Umm-" She curled up in a ball on the floor, hiding her face from me while I just laughed at the whole thing unfolding before me

"Wow you really are adorable when your all flustered like this~" I used my finger to lift her chin up, making her head level with mine as I kissed her

Unfortunately, my parents decided *now* would be a great time to get some books, so they walked in on us, and my mom started squealing like a child

"OMG YES! I TOLD YOU IT WAS GONNA HAPPEN! HAHA!"

"Oh wow what a great surprise. Definitely didn't see this coming" My father was being sarcastic

I scooped Sota up, and walked out of the library "We're gonna go lay down now"
