Both of you opened your eyes and now you're in a magical world with your house on a huge floating rock (Check A/N 1)

"Here, this way" You let go of her hand and went ahead first

Ei's jaw dropped out of awe. What an astonishing world. She kept looking around like a curious child while following you.

"Hello y/n. This realm is truly beginning to thrive. I can not help but to be stirred."

"Hello Tubby"

Ei shifted her attention to the strange creature inside a pot then looked at you, waiting for introduction.

"Ei this is Tubby. She's a teapot spirit that lives here and is in charge of this place. She's also very knowledgeable so if there's any problem within this realm, let her know and it's fixed!"

The spirit greeted Ei and she nodded in response. As you opened the door to go inside Ei stopped and looked towards the left side.

"Hm? Is there something wrong Ei?"

"Do you have dogs here? I think i heard some noises" Her eyes seemed to widen and became full of passion.

"Ah yes. Let's go see them" you smiled and started walking "When i was exploring Jinren Island, i saw some nobushis and treasure hoarders caging these poor dogs so i couldn't help but rescue them. Since i was afraid to let them be around there again, i brought them here"

"I see.."

On the left side of your house there were tons of dogs wandering around and playing. Some were laying down, some were eating their foods but when they saw Ei they all stopped. They ran towards her while wagging their tails. I mean this is Ei we're talking about, The archon who's loved by all animals.

"Oh my~" for the first time she laughed out loud like she wasn't hiding under a facade.

It melted your heart. Her 'real' smile and laughter was so beautiful that you wished you could see it everyday. You were watching her from behind as she was patting the dogs.

I look like a creep right now. Staring at her like this...

You two finally entered the house after playing with the dogs, standing in the main hall. It was already night.

"Do you like it here?"

"Yes. It's much livelier than the plane of euthymia"

"Time surely flies by fast when you're enjoying life huh" you sighed

"..yes. But if only time would stand still..." Ei's tone became full of sadness and grief. You realised it. You wanted to hold her hand and hug her. You wanted to comfort her that everything's fine.

But you didn't.

There is a line that i shouldn't cross or else i can't be saved

She collected herself and smiled "But when you're here by my side, somehow i'm peaceful"

Her words softened your heart. "Mutual feelings" you whispered. "Say, would you like to make dinner or something?"

"You mean together? Did i not tell you that i can not cook?"

"I- really?" you gathered all of your willpower and tried not to laugh "Then let me teach you"

"But i have no interest in it"

"Let's just try it we'll start out easy. please~" you put your hands together and looked at her with one of those pure innocent expressions.

After several tries and nearly destroying the kitchen, you successfully taught Ei how to make Teyvat fried egg. You both ate dinner and decided to go outside.

"So how did you find this teapot?"

"A kind lady in liyue gifted it to me"

"Liyue hmm.."

She sat on the edge of the porch. "All of these incidents and encountering new experiences makes me happy yet afraid. All i would do in the plane of euthymia was meditating endlessly but now...it is not comfortable"

Ah fear of the unknown i see

"I understand. It's natural to feel that way you'll get used to it" you sat down next to her. "Just lose yourself in this present moment and don't think too much"

You suddenly felt her gaze on you and turned your head. Although you were good at reading peoples' emotions just by looking at them, you couldn't be sure what's in her eyes now.

"You sound just like her"

"Her?"

She hesitated to answer but she did anyway "Saiguu, one of my dearest friends"

"Wait are you talking about kitsune Saiguu?"

"How do you know her?" She said while eagerly waiting for your response

You told her all about Kazari and what happened in sacred sakura cleansing ritual. You then showed her the mask you've kept and treasured for a long time now.

"I think it's better if you keep this. Consider it as a gift, from me and Lady Saiguu" you smiled.

But as soon as you looked in her eyes again, you felt your heart breaking into pieces. Her tears were slowly falling down her cheek while looking at the mask and holding it.

Damn it

Without saying a word you took her hand, reassuring her that you're here and it's ok to cry. She intertwined her fingers with yours and held your hand tightly.

"Thank you y/n"
