{Demi's POV}

I can't wait to go on break, being the star of Sonny With A Chance is really tiring. I've been feeling a little out of tune lately. I'm also kind of nervous due to the fact that I have to sing for this episode.

"Demi! Demi! Demi, it's your line." Tiffany shouted.

"Oh, sorry..", I guess I was too busy thinking about going on break to even realize that I was standing on set recording.

I really need to stop doing that, one day it might cost me my job.

"Alright, everyone take an hour break. Some of you look like you need it." Said my producer, as he glanced at me.

As soon as he finished his sentence I jetted off set to find my best friend Selena, maybe spending some time with her would make me feel a little better. Selena and I hardly get to hang out anymore considering the fact that we both are stars of two different shows. She's always filming on Wizards of Waverly Place and I'm on Sonny With A Chance. We haven't really hung out in about three weeks; maybe that's why I feel so sad.

I ran so fast that I was only a corner away from the set of Wizards and then I ran right into someone.

"Oh my God I'm so so sorr-" I look up and realize who I ran into.

"SELENA!!" I shouted from the top of my lungs.

"DEMI!!" She shouted back while chuckling. I helped her up and gave her the tightest hug I have ever given anyone.

"Dem.. you're kind of hurting me" she said but I ignored her. She could tell that I

missed her so she let me be.

"Sel, I missed you so much!" I said as I let go of her. "I missed you more Dem". We always had those little 'I miss you more' arguments whenever we haven't seen each other in a while.

"Why aren't you on set?" I asked Selena curiously.

"They gave everyone the rest of the day off, as well as the rest of the week. That's why I was running towards SWAC, to tell you. What are you doing off set Missy?" She said.

"Lunch break." I responded.

"Perfect, where are we going?" She asked.

"Uhm, how about Mexican food?" I said.

"Sounds like a date." She said grinning.

As Selena and I walked out of the studio all I could think about was how long we haven't seen each other. It seriously felt like forever. I'm so glad I ran into her. Well I'm not particularly happy about literally running into her but I'm happy to see her. We exited the studios, got into her car and off we drove to get lunch.

"Are we going to our usual spot? She asked.

"Of course, we haven't been there in over a month." I said.

We spent the rest of the car ride talking and catching up on things. I told her what was going on with SWAC and she told me about Wizards. I missed her, I missed us. Not being with my best friend for almost a month made me feel like I was incomplete. I guess that's what happens when you've spent 9 years together almost never split apart.

We finally reached the restaurant and before I could even take off my seat belt Selena was out of the car and opening my door.

"My fair lady." She said with an English accent and giggling as she helped me out of the car.

"You're so silly Sel." I said laughing.

We both walked into the restaurant, took our seats and waited for our waiter to take our.order.

"So Selena, what are you going to do during your rest of the week off break?" I asked trying to kill time while we waited to take our orders.

"To be honest, I don't even know yet. I'm pretty sure I'll find something to do, If not I'll just use my time off to relax." She said.

"Oh, that's cool." I said.

Our waiter finally came took our order and walked off. We spent the time waiting for our food just laughing and joking about things we did when we were younger and how nerdy we were. When our food arrived we ate and goofed off like usual. It's great how no matter how long we can go without seeing each other we always acted like we were just with each other the day before.

When I finished eating I realized that I had less than twenty minutes to make it back to the studio.

"Oh crap, I'm going to be late." I practically shouted.

"Here's the keys go and start the car I'll pay for the food." Selena said as she handed me the keys.

I walked out leaving Selena inside to pay the bill. Almost immediately as I started the car and got in the passenger seat I see Selena walking towards the car. She got in, didn't say a word to me and just started driving.

"You'll be on time, I promise." She said while driving.

I nodded my head and stood quiet. In less than 15 minutes we were parked outside the studios.

"We got here wayyyy quicker than I expected." I said very shocked.

"You better hurry up and get on that Set Dem." She said to me.

"Yeah, you're right. I'll call you when I get off, okay?" I said.

"I’ll be waiting." She said as we hugged each other and she gave me a kiss on the cheek.

I walked off and into the studio feeling much better than I felt earlier. Maybe that's all I needed, a little time with my best friend. As I'm walking on set I feel my phone vibrate. It's a text from Selena.

'Oh I forgot, good luck singing today. Not that you need it, I know you'll kill it. Go be the amazingly talented rock star I know you are.'

As soon as I read it I started to smile really wide with my phone in hand.

"Are you blushing Demi?" Tiffany asked.

To be honest I didn't even see her standing on set reading her lines.

"Whoa, no I wasn't." I said unsure of whether I was or wasn't.

"Okay Demi, you weren't blushing." She said sarcastically.

Was I really blushing? Oh my god, do I have a crush on my best friend? This is so weird, but maybe I do have a crush on Selena. I mean it would make sense. I haven't really been feeling like myself lately but the moment I'm with her I feel whole again.

'No Demi, No. You can’t like her, she's you're best friend and you're both straight. You'll never be with her.' These were some of thoughts continuously going through my head as I thought about the situation.

"Demi, we're about to record you sing, ready?" my director said to me.

"Yeah!" I shouted.

Time to kill it.
