In chake mate i show Xiao zhan is CEO of jin empire. He have a younger brother zhou cheng. And a nephew jin ling.
Jin ling lost his parents in accident when he was five years old. When zhan was 20, cheng was 18. Xiao zhan was a entrepreneur who supply a raw materials to jin ready to eat food company.
On the other hand wang yibo is from costal area. He is basically a villager. Who took care of his niece from then she was just a toddler. Mianmian now completely depends on yibo. Yibo has a dream to become a choreographer. So mianmian give exam for city school and select in it. They move to city.
Jin ling fall in love with mianmian at first sight. He follow her everywhere. While fought with yibo. When yibo was returning to village for the sake of mianmian's sefty. Jin ling try to commit suicide. His uncle kidnapped wang yibo and mianmian. And force them to live in jin mantion.
Xiao zhan saw yibo and lust on him. He raped him threatening about mianmian. Then he marry him witnessing jin ling and mianmian. It give deep wound to yibo. Now yibo develop new habit. He became possesive about Xiao zhan. He lost connection to outer world. All he want that Xiao zhan and the pleasure and pain given by him.
About side character, zhou cheng is a happy soul. He have crush on meng ziyi. He is a psychiatrist. He doubts on yibo and try to cure him. With the help of mianmian and jin ling.
Ziyi own a restaurant which is basically dream of yanli(jin ling's mother). She have a brother named yu bin. *Not so interesting role in story.
Jin ling become friendly with mianmian and he even help mianmian to escape from Beijing. But on time zhan stop them and that time he realised that he have feeling for yibo.
Last chapter we saw zhan tattooed yibo with his name. Think that marking him as his. Because he have to go for a foreign meeting. That time yibo have to survive Without him. Basically yibo get panic when he saw his bruises became faded. And demand zhan to give him new one. So zhan permanently give him tattoo. So yibo feel him on his body.
One another thing i narrate long time ago that yibo loved by his mother but his father didn't like the idea that he want to work in showbiz industry.
