Invitation

Noelle's POV

As I sat in english I began staring into the board in front of me for quite some time. I then thought for a moment and wondered...Why do I have to be paired with Berdly? Don't get me wrong, he's nice and he's my friend. But, we're always partners during any project and not only that, I really want to be paired with Susie. She's strong, scary, and most people say she's mean, but I like scary. She makes me feel things I've never felt before...I want to go somewhere with her. Not on a date or anything! Unless she wants to...GOD my palms get so sweaty when I talk to her and my face heats up and I can't even speak right when she's near me because I just ramble so much.

"Noelle? Noeeelle?" Berdly was waving his hand in front of my face and I finally snapped out of thought at the sound of his voice. I turned over and faced him "Hm? Oh sorry Berdly I was lost in thought I guess" he looked at me with his bright blue eyes and then opened his mouth "That's alright Noelle let's just finish our research" I gave him a soft smile before looking back at Susie again. I began examining her, she's so pretty. Her gorgeous chocolate eyes that hid behind her long brown hair, her amazing rough voice, and her punk style always was so interesting and...SO HOT to me. I want to hangout with her...just imagining us going somewhere, getting food and having a conversation...I would give anything for her to just notice me!

I start fidgeting my feet around as sweat started to pour down my face, It didn't take much longer for me to realize that Berdly was talking behind me again "Uh Noelle are you sure you're okay? You look like a tomato" he said placing his hand on my shoulder. I felt his feathered hand resting on my shoulder and I looked over back at him "Y-Yeah I'm alright Berdly I'm just- just hot today" he raised his eyebrow and then turned back to facing the board "Alright if you say so" he said as he began writing in his notebook again

Ms.Alphys got out of her chair and spoke to the class clasping her hands together
"Alright everyone class is over, remember to do your research tonight for your projects" I got out of my chair and tapped Berdly's shoulder "Hey uhm Berdly? do you think you can do my research for me tonight? I'm sorry I just need a break from school" he smiled slightly as a glint of shine shimmered from his eyes "Oh, of course Noelle I'd do anything for you" he said passionately? I walked out of class and started walking down the hall, that sentence stuck with me. What did he mean by that? Does he have a crush on me?! I don't like him! I like-  I stopped dead in my tracks and looked up to see that perfect purple skin. She looked down at me with her hidden eyes and grinned "Sup Noelle?"

my ears grew hot and my cheeks lit up, she was standing right in front of me!  I struggled to form a sentence and tried my best to open my mouth. "uhm h-hi Susie h-how are y-you?" Her smile grew wider as she rested her hands behind her head staring into the ceiling of the brightly lit hallway "Uh pretty good I guess what about you?" She was asking me how I was doing!? I wasn't prepared for this! I fumbled my hands around and started sweating again oh GOD I got what I wanted and I can't even speak properly! "Uhm I'm Great I guess...it's just..." Come on! Come on spit it out Noelle! Susie crossed her arms and grinned even harder "Its just what?" Gah! She's so intimidating this isn't fair! Okay I'm just gonna say it! I then opened my mouth and spoke as fast as I could "I was wondering if you wanted to go the fairgrounds with me tonight and if you don't that's okay you don't have to" GAH THERE I SAID IT! She scratched her head and put her hand around her ear "Huh? What was that you spoke too fast" I started squealing on the inside and repeated myself slowly while clenching my fists, I could feel the sweat..."Do you want to go to the fairgrounds with me tonight? You don't have to if you don't want to" She leaned down and chuckled softly EEP! She was inches away from my face! Susie then smiled softly and gave a big thumbs up "Sure that sounds fun, can I bring my friend Kris?" SHE SAID YES! And she wants Kris to come! I blushed and then opened my mouth to respond "Sure! This is gonna be so fun!" I just remembered, I need to check on dad at the hospital! "Oh- sorry I have to go right now but I'll see you tonight right?" Susie nodded her head "Yup see you tonight...Bye" She grinned again once more before turning around and walking down the hall again

I waved her bye and ran outside the school doors, I could barley breathe! I was literally screaming on the inside I'm so exited I can't wait to tell dad all about it!
