Tetsuro Kuroo had the best life, and you couldn’t convince him otherwise. He had three, beautiful, talented, and unique kids. He had a successful and well-paying job that made him able to afford luxuries that some others couldn’t, something he was eternally grateful for. The thing Kuroo loved the most was the person who gave him all the things that he had today. His husband. Kenma Kozume.

That’s why, when Kenma agreed to go on a date with him the first time he asked him out, he was ecstatic. He had gone home that day, jumped up and down his bed until he fell, and smiled uncontrollably until he fell asleep, dreaming of Kenma that night. That’s why he HAD to recreate that first date for their 20th anniversary that was coming up that Saturday. 20 solid years since they got together. It had to be the best out of all of the other anniversaries combined. The super anniversary and Kuroo was ready to do that for the love of his life.

Kenma sat in his gaming chair, playing on his Nintendo switch when Kuroo popped his head into the room, his iconic stupid smirk stuck on his face. Kenma looked up and down, then groaned, knowing that smirk like the palm of his hand. That smirk meant “adventure” and Kenma was more than happy to not have to deal with an “adventure”

“No.”
“I didn’t even get to say anything!! KITTENNNNNNN” Kuroo groaned, a silly pout spread across his lips
“Stop pouting, you look like an idiot, idiot,” Kenma said simply, returning to whatever game he was playing.
“Can I at least get a chance to speak in your presence, oh great Lord Kenma?” Kenma couldn’t help but smile at Kuroo’s needy antics. He was on his knees and he was kissing Kenma’s hand, caressing the veins that lined themselves up like a tree.

“Speak peasant.” Kuroo chuckled, kissing Kenma softly on the lips before getting up and sitting on their shared bed.
“Our anniversary is coming up soon and I would like to take the honorable Kenma out on a special date...on Friday. We would be back by Saturday afternoon, but the kids know how to fend for themselves, and they have their cells to call us. What do you think?” Kuroo knew what the answer was already, but Kenma was up for a friendly game of teasing.

“What if I don’t want to go?”

“I’ll carry you everywhere and make SURE you have a good time.”
“I need to stream.”

“Bring your equipment with you, I’m booking a hotel anyways.”

“I don’t want to be seen with you.”

      “Too bad.”

Kenma chuckled, sighing in defeat

“Fine. Friday night, be ready by 5, no later than that. Got it, idiot?” He demanded

Kuroo looked at him with a glint of happiness in his eyes, and nodded his head, kissing Kenma on the cheek before skipping out of the room to do whatever Kuroo did. Needless to say, he had his own mini dance party that night.

Friday night came slower than expected. Kuroo was ready, dressed in a black suit, with a red button-down shirt and black tie. Kenma dressed more preppy, wearing a white collared shirt, yellow sweater vest, and flared jeans. Holding a bouquet of sunflowers, he handed it over to Kenma, a dreamy expression on his face.
“You look… stunning Kenma.” Kuroo dreamily murmured, looking Kenma up and down, admiring his husband’s beauty. He remembered why he fell in love.
