"Dawn! Time to get up!" I groan.
"Ok mom! I’ll be down in a minute!"
I get up and walk over to my closet. I pull out a blue tank top, black leather jacket, and a pair of black skinny jeans, as well as other girl stuff. After I’m dressed, I walk over to my trunk. I fill it with my newly bought school books, my robes, night cloths, and books to read. I grab my wand off of my nightstand, and walk over to my door with my trunk dragging behind me.
"Would you hurry up? We're going to be late! What about your breakfast?" I shrug.
"I'll eat on the train." She frowns.
"Are you sure?" I nod.
"Yes mom." She sighs.
"Ok. Let’s go." I follow after my mother to the car. I flick my wand at my trunk, and it starts to fold its self in half until its pocket sized. I pick it up and slip it into my pocket and climb into the car shotgun. My owl Moon is already in the back seat. Within the next half hour, we make it into the train station. We rush past the platforms until we stand between 9 and 10. I take my cart, kiss my mom on the cheek good-bye, and run towards the platform. Just as I think I’ve made it through, I crash and find myself laying on the cool cement.
"Watch where you're going you filthy mud blood!"
I look over and see the blonde haired, blue eyed Draco Malfoy. He's sitting on the ground, cart tipped over on its side, books everywhere around him, and his owl fluttering around his cage squawking his head off at Moon.
"How about you shut your bloody owl up Malfoy? Or should I do it for you?" Malfoy just shoots me a glare.
“Your glares don’t scare me Malfoy." He sneers.
"They would if you knew what was good for you Nightshade."
He stands up and gathers his belongings, before heading over to the Hogwarts Express. I get up and do the same. When I get to the train I walk over to the Gryffindor’s carts. On my way to find an open compartment I run into the lady shouting ‘Sweets off the trolley! Come get your sweets off the trolley dears!’
"I'll take 1 chocolate frog please." She smiles warmly.
"All right dearie, will that be all?" I nod.
"Yes ma'am."
I walk past her with my single chocolate frog. I come to the last compartment. I open the door to see a frizzy haired girl reading 'Hogwarts A History'
"Hi, is this seat taken?" she shakes her head.
"No go ahead." She smiles.
"Thank you." She stands up abruptly.
"I’m Hermione Granger. Nice to meet you." I take her hand and shake it.
"Nice to meet you too. I’m Da-" She cuts me off.
“Dawn Nightshade. Yes I know."
I walk over and sit down next to her. A few minutes later a dark haired boy with glasses fallowed by a red haired boy enters and takes a seat across from me and Hermione.
"Who do you suppose that is Harry?" The red head nudges the darker haired boy with his elbow.
"Would you shut up you git?" He looks down.
"Sorry..." The darker haired boy shakes his head chuckling quietly.
"Hi, I’m Harry Potter." I smile.
"Hello." He holds his hand out and I shake it.
"Ron. Ron Weasley." He waves.
"Nice to meet both of you. I’m Da-" I’m cut off once again.
