A/N: Hey everyone, sorry for not uploading last week. Life is kicking my ass right now, but I have not forgotten about this story and promise to finish it to the very end. I am strictly against hiatuses because I know how annoying they are. I remember reading a fic in seventh grade and then my junior year six years later they finally uploaded the final chapter. Anyway, enjoy your weekend everyone and happy reading <3

"Smells good, Gina," Emma called as she ran down the stairs of the mansion. Every morning for the past two weeks she was meant with the smell of food. Yesterday it was blueberry pancakes, today it was bacon. Her mouth watered more when she got to the bottom of the stairs and skipped into the kitchen.

"Miss Swan, how do you expect to defeat this witch if you waste the day away asleep?"

Emma went behind her and wrapped her arms around Regina's waist, making her stop and her lungs collapse. "It's ten A.M."

"My point exactly. I went to check on Henry to see if he wanted anything two hours ago and he was sound asleep. Though that's not surprising since he was up until the crack of dawn. How do you expect our son to be healthy if he never sleeps?"

"Technically he is on vacation. The rules don't apply."

Regina rolled her eyes playfully and pushed Emma away. "Technically we have a town to save. Could you grab some plates, dear?"

Once Emma went over to the cabinets and opened it, she hesitated to grab them, as they were nearing fine china. Porcelain gloss with red floral designs on the edges.

"You really do like to live in luxury, huh?"

"I was a queen."

Emma pushed her lips to the side. "I know. It's just... I feel like a bull in a china shop. I'm bound to mess something up at some point. I feel out of place."

Regina turned her head and saw Emma slowly reaching for the stacked plates careful not to clink them together and risking a scratch. She bit her cheek thinking about Emma's words. Out of place. A bull in a china shop. Bound to mess up. Everyone waited for Regina to do so. At any given moment, whether she stared too long or flicked her wrist, everyone's eyes widened in fear.

She opened her mouth to speak, but snapped it shut once she remembered Emma was talking about living in the regality of her home, and not the immense feeling of lonely Regina felt. It wasn't the same. It never would be. Yet, in a world where no one would ever understand, Emma's feelings were close enough.

"I'm not going to yell at you for a broken plate," said Regina.

"That's good, because I'm pretty sure I'll break at least two before I leave."

Regina's brows knitted together, but she turned her head away so Emma wouldn't notice her concern. What did she mean by leave? Leave for the day? Leave the house once they no longer needed to pretend? Leave the town? Emma seemed unbothered by her remark, so Regina did her best to ignore it.

As Emma sat down at the counter with a plate full of food, the phone rang, and on the other line was Snow asking for Emma to come over to help David build a crib. He wouldn't accept help from anyone and she thought it would be a good family bonding moment.

Regina pushed her lips together to keep herself from giving an evil laugh at Emma's annoyance.

"Tell her I'm busy," Emma whined at Regina who held the phone to her ear.

Regina winked at her.

"If you love me," Emma said while shoving bacon into her mouth, "you'll tell her no freaking way."
