Oodle prowled the forest in search of the source of the scent he picked up from the mountain. After four hours of prowling, he found a tall, white figure by a fire. It was Bone. He was sitting by a fire since he was lost and couldn't find his way back out. He managed to ignite a fire for warmth. He was just about to put out the fire before he heard Oodle's howls from behind.
He turned to see two emerald green eyes staring back at him. He jumped in terror as the beast lunged toward him. He managed to roll away from the beast's attack.
Oodle then got on all fours and snarled at Bone. His tail swayed as the fire raged on. A little spark flew onto Oodle's tail and it instantly caught ablaze. Oodle howled in pain as he desperately tried to put out the fire.
Bone grabbed his water bottle and splashed the flame on Oodle's tail. The fire was also hit with the water and fizzled out. Oodle's tail was singed to a crisp. Oodle whimpered weakly as his fur fell off. Bone walked toward the beast and comforted him. He was slowly starting to gain Oodle's trust in him.
The moon hid behind the clouds for a few minutes. Oodle's reverted back to his normal self, unaware of the burning pain in his backside. He yelped in pain as the burns from the fire afflicted more jolts of agony.
Bone tried to stop the pain and tried to comfort Oodle both at the same time. "I can't believe I tried to kill you." Oodle sobbed in Bone's arms. A tear shed from Bone's eye. Both Oodle and Bone were too busy to see the two, white, pircing eyes watching from the shadows of the forest's trees.
