The Snow Hare And the Fox {MoonBae}

Jacob sighed as he rested his sore body on his bed trying to forget the fact that the peace and quite will soon be interrupted anyways. His brown eyes slowly made his way over to glance at a small photo graph of him and Eric covered in cake mix and frosting. He almost remembers that day as if it was yesterday.  The two were baking a cake for Eric's mom and somehow ended up in a food war, but atlas they did manage to complete the cake in time. With  A low grunt Jacob forced himself up  and silently walked over to his closet  before grabbing a towel and some clothes then proceeding to stalk towards the bathroom. Closing and locking the door the pale male moves towards the bathtub and began filling it with warm water before going to hop on top of the counter. Letting off a sour grunt he yanked his shirt off before gazing at his scar's and forming bruises with a displeased face.

Letting off a soft sigh he pulled out his phone before texting Eric letting him know he might be late to school. It was a promise he made at the beginning of last year that he would walk the younger boy to his first class everyday, and usually he was able to do so however he honestly just needed a few hours to soak. After getting a reply from a very unhappy Eric, he took off the last of his clothes before stopping the water and getting in the bath tub. "Man I needed this" he sighed to himself before he slightly sunk himself more into the water ignoring the stings on his body as the water hit his cuts a scratches.

After a peaceful five minutes he jolted up to Eric barging into the bathroom quickly sinking himself further into the bath in attempt to hide himself. "How did you get in here?" he exclaimed glaring at the younger boy in attempt to scare him off. "I climbed through the window" Eric replied while shrugging his shoulders ignoring the elders attempt at a scary face.

After a bit of pointless banter Jacob quickly freshened up before barging back into his room greeted by the sight of Eric rummaging through his closet. "You cant keep breaking in here Eric, it scares the neighbors" Jacob scolded while shaking his head. "Does it really or is it because your dad dislikes me?" Eric shot back a bit annoyed with how Jacob was being treated. "Just come live with me, my mom wouldn't mind plus there's plenty of room for you" Eric added as he closed the closet and staring into Jacobs eyes pleading silently. "We've been over this ten times Eric and the answer will still remain the same," Jacob said before turning around "Now lets go we're already late."

The walk to the school was filled with chilling silence in which Jacob could only assume was about him refusing Eric's offer. The elder was more than grateful for Eric and his family however abandoning his father was something Jacob couldn't see himself doing. "Just think about it alright?" Eric said softly before entering his class leaving Jacob alone in the empty halls with an heavy heart. Shaking his head he turned around before dragging himself towards his own classroom. "Here goes nothing." Mumbled a tired Jacob before opening the door causing himself to be the main source of everyone's attention. Glancing up at the teacher he expected to find himself to be yelled at, to his surprise the teacher just gave an dismissive way of the hand before having him head to his seat.

Hey Soel here! Sorry for the long wait, I started the chapter and then lost motivation for a while. I figured this was the best place to end it not wanting for it to just sit in the drafts for another few months. I have a general idea of where I want this story to go and have figured out the plot for the most point however I am stuck at if I want the chapters to be long or short such as this one. It will probably be the later in attempts to avoid burnouts and make the book longer but it could always change. With all that being said please look forward for future chapters!
