It was the day for her to present infront of the delegates chamber. The most prestigious position she dreamt of. She never had stage fright. But now... After all the verbal abuses she had in the past, it terribly affected her self confidence. She is always doubtful about her appearance and that made her to remain unsatisfied all the time.

Its 9.30 a. m.

Avantika is impatiently waiting in the hall alloted for the delegates. She had a black file that has all the documents for the presentation. She took out her mobile phone to recheck whether its in silent mode and saw 3 Missed calls from an unknown number. Usually she get random calls from her Collegemates as she is an active member of all the cultural clubs over there.

I'll call back once this presentation gets over. I shouldn't distract myself now.

Thinking this she was about to switch off her phone, it again buzzed.

Unknown Number calling...!

She went out of the hall and picked up the call.

"Hello..."

"Hello, Am I speaking to Avantika..?"

A girl's voice from the other side.

"Yes you are.."

"Avantika I'm Thara. I want to talk to you something personally. Are you free now..?"

Avantika had no idea why she called and who is this actually.

"Hii Thara. Actually I'm about to attend a conference within few minutes. Can I call you once I completes it..?"

"Yes. But please don't forget. Its serious..."

By putting her in a frozen spot, she cut the call. Avantika felt a gush of fear in heart that disturbed her. She felt as if something bad is going to happen. But she brushed away all those thoughts and went inside for her presentation. She did it absolutely well that impressed all the chief delegates over there. After a quite long days of preparation, she successfully managed to present herself in a professional way and also she beautifully covered all her inner turmoil.

Avantika walked out of the room after having her lunch. Many of her friends and Collegemates came and congratulated her by the time.

I need to sleep. My body can't take up anymore sleepless nights and works. I should go to my room and take a quick shower. Then... A sound sleep. Wait....!!!!
Who will be that girl...? Should I call her back..?! I can't handle anymore serious issues... I'm fed up 😑

Thinking all these Avantika took out her phone and switched it On. A rapid arrival of so many missed call notification.

What the hell... 82 missed calls that too within 3 hours from the same number. Who is this...? Whaaatttt...!!! Is this the same number or Am I just overthinking...??? Is it him...??!!! Lemme check it in true caller...!!!

After all that happened between them, Avantika came to knew that he is hooked up with some girl but they both didn't made any contacts for the past 1 year. Now... He re entered into her life that too with so many calls all of a sudden.
