Kingston's way to power(Unfinished)

the beginning of a star

A man bowed as he breathed heavily, he was tired and out of breath from singing for a while. Even so people clapped and cheered his name as he composed himself.

The person everyone was cheering for was a man named dice Kingston. People all over inkwell knew him for being a singer, he was one of the best singers that lived in inkwell which ended up making him quite popular. He was very well put together and had the kind of charm that would make anyone listen to every word he said, and he for sure knew how to keep a crowd, even on slow days.

"T-thank you everyone for being so kind today!" He said tiredly with a smile as he started walking off the stage "and I'll hopefully see you all at next week!" dice said as he blew a kiss to the crowd, making a few of the lady's and even gentlemen blush.

Dice took a lot of singing jobs from bars, restaurant, and town events, today was just another one of them. But today he had something important he needed to get to so he couldn't stay afterwards to sign any autographs. He quickly made his way to the employees break room to grab his trench coat since the owner let him keep it there during the show.

"Are ya off to that's job interview?" A woman sitting on a small couch next to the vending machine said "oh, why yes I am chalice" he said as he started to tie his coat and chalice smiled "I hope it goes well!" She said with a happy smile which made dice feel a bit more confident he would do good at the interview. Chalice and dice where not best friends or anything but he had come here a few times And they got to know eachother since she served him most of the time and tended to go to some of his proformance's on her days off. Dice saw her as a sort of niece since she was a lot younger than him, she was 19 and he was 39.

Dice winced when he remembered how old he was. well 39 wasn't that old but still it felt like not that long ago he started his whole singing thing.
"Heh thanks chalice, I'm sure it will go well since I got to see you before going." he said as he walked over to chalice and she hugs him happily, he hugs back. she really was a sweet girl and smart to, he couldn't wait to see what she becomes when she gets older, but he needed to get to the interview instead of being side tracked.

"Bye chalice I'll see you later" he said as they stoped hugging and he headed to the door "bye sir dice!" She said in silly voice which caused dice to let out a  soft chuckle as he left.

As he made his way to the interview he practiced what he was going to say "help my name is Dice Kingston and I think I should get this job because- I'm... Great with people and a very charming person!" He said to himself but quickly cringed, that made him sound so full of himself. They might think he's stuck up and not willing to work hard and that was the last thing he wanted. He needed this job and planned on working long hours without a break if it ment getting it. But still he didn't know the owner so he couldn't guess what he wanted from a employee, maybe him being a famous singer in the area will help him get the job. He usually doesn't want to be treated differently because of it but if it ment getting the job. He wouldn't mind a bit of a advantage in this case.

He made his way to the building. It was a big casino, the most famous one in the area with people going there almost non stop. "Does this place every close?" Dice asked himself as he thinks about it. It never seemed like they where closed or out of business which was quite impressive.

Dice made his way into the casino following the crowd of people walking in. It was quite packed with people everywhere. at the bars, gambling machines, and people gathered around tables gambling away hundreds if not thousands. Dice was in awe, the place was big, like really big! He would of thought he was in a castle or something, but there was some things that wasn't so nice. The carpet was old and full of stains, the place needed to be dusted and a lot of things in the building looked really old and about to break.
