It was 5:00 pm, my graduation party had already gone half way but it seems like it just begun, New guests; male and female trooped in every few seconds. Wait! Who are they? Peharps Amber invited them.
I had just finished college and I didn't know how I was feeling.

Sad or Happy?

Dad threw a party for me with the little money he had. Although he worked for SKJ company; the biggest company in all of Isheri, he was still paid little. Dad resulted to taking up mini jobs to cover up the household expenses.

Mom and Dad have waited so many years for me to graduate.

Finally!

My bestfriend Amber was having fun with my big brother Leo and that was a thing you wouldn't see everyday. It was really weird the way both of them got along so well, as I know my brother is a sometimes hostile. This was actually my first time seeing my bestfriend take squadron.

"Hey!Congratulations"
A sweet timid voice said from behind. I immediately snapped out of my thoughts and turned around to see little Tim smiling; Tim was my little nephew.

"Oh! Hey Tim, Thank you. How're you?" I asked him
"Am good" He replied with a smile and walked away like a child chasing after a balloon.

I looked at Dad with so much happiness, "Finnaly his dreams for me has been accomplished" I thought to myself

Amber called out to me as she staggered'
Amber, are you drunk? I asked her
"Jeeez! Aure, we just graduated from college, we should be enjoying ourselves and you just stand there looking like a lost sheep. C'mon girl,this is your party" Amber smirked

"Oh! I hate it when you call me Aure. Squadron is rated 18+ and we both know you ain't up to 18. My brother is 19, take it easy Amber".
"Durrh! Life is all about fun you know" She said staggering
"I'll be right back Aure, I just spotted a cute guy over there"

I watched Amber walk towards the guy she sighted in a slow pace as she staggered introducing herself to him.

I tried to calm my nerves and just then someone tapped me on my shoulders and said "Aure?" And right that moment i knew it was Kelvin because he was another person that calls me 'Aure'

"Hi Kelv" I turned around giving him a weak smile

"What's up Aure?" He said as he placed his hands on my shoulder and used his eyes to strip my clothes off
"Disgusting! Pervert!" I yelled as I yanked his hands away.
"C'mon Aure, accept my proposal already, I need you to be mine" He smirked
"Have you forgotten the slap I gave you three days ago at the library? Should I give you another one?" I glared

Flashback^ Three days ago

I was checking out some new books at the new library "Sandiego's Lib" that just opened across the street. I was wearing a mini skirt, it was so uncomfortable for me to walk in 'em but Amber insisted and forced me to wear it to the library. I mistakenly knocked some books down and I bent over to pick them up forgetting that my skirt was a mini.

I felt someone cross his hands over my waist. I gasped and stood immediately I turned to see Kelvin using his hazel eyes to rip my clothes apart.

I stood frozen

"Aure thats a pretty good waist you've got there" He said bitting his lips
"Are you insane?" I yelled and gave him a hard slap across the face and am pretty sure he saw the galaxies of stars.
"Don't you ever touch me like that again" I glared pushing him away.
"You will be all mine Aure, You will be! My Aurelia" He yelled as i walked away making sure I heard him.

^Back to the present^

"Oh! C'mon Aure, am a changed man". He said infuriating.
"To hell with that!"
I yelled walking pass him in my high stilletoes.
"Aurelia! Aure!? Get back here! How dare you walk out on me? You'll regret this Aure! I've received enough insults from you now, that body your keeping from me will be mine soon, I promise you!" Kelvin yelled with all solemnity.

I ran to the convenience room to take a deep breath.
"Aurelia Smith, you are braver than you think, stand your ground and come out victorious" I said aloud to myself starring at the large mirror that stood before me.
"Aurelia you are beautiful and your body will not be used as a public toilet" I continued giving myself a pep talk.
I...

"Hey!"
I was interrupted by the strange but mild voice I heard from behind that made me stutter.
I turned around to see who it was.
It was a young girl who looked aghast, pale, her lips were dry and so charped, her skin was so dry.

She looked like she had just gone through parturition but even a woman who had gone through parturition wouldn't look so gloomy.

She had bags under her eyes peharps from excessive crying or was it stress? I wondered.

I could see dried tears on her cheeks. She looked like someone who just went through a traumatic experience.

I couldn't help but wonder what happened to her. Her clothes were slightly torn and I saw blood stains on her leg and cloth.

I just kept staring at her.

"What happened to you?" I asked with concern as tears rolled down my eyes freely.

"N-Never trust a m-man. Never! They're all liars!" She shuddered at each word she said. She opened the door to leave but I wouldn't let her, I needed to know what happened. I grabbed her hands tightly and she forcefully yanked it away running off and leaving her broken gold wristwatch in my palms.

I turned around in a slow pace, I washed my face and went straight back to the party.

I kept reminiscing on what she told me, her words rang like bell in my head. I wouldn't lie it left me feeling agitated.

My phone beeped. It was a message from my boyfriend, Allen. We've been dating for two years now and my mum knows about him. I love him allot, he was always there for me when I needed someone to talk to but he couldn't make it to the party because he had to travel to Nigeria, to see his grandmother, he said she was ill.

"Hey bbg, I've missed you like crazy. How're you doing? I'm sorry I haven't called you in a long while, I've been experiencing network issues. I know you've missed me and your probably upset I didn't show up today for your graduation party but you know my nana is still sick and I've to take care of her but I sent you something, something special. You'll receive the package soon. Ilysssssssssssssssssssssm Mi cariño♥️"

My cheeks turned red immediately I read the last part. His such a sweetheart. I wonder what he sent. I'm already getting aquinted to Allen spoiling me with gifts.

I smiled and walked to the bar that was close to the door. I had a few drinks impatiently waiting for the package. My mind pondered back to the strange girls words but I tried not to let it bother me.

Ding dong.
Surely that was the delivery man, I rushed to the door and grabbed my package with so much anticipation.

Omg! it's a 24 carat gold necklace, wow.
Allen spoils me like crazy. I picked up my phone and called him but, he didn't  pick up so I dropped my phone and joined the group dance on the dance floor showing off my necklace.
