Decades ago, there lived Nine-tailed fox who could freely transform themselves into human beings. They looked so pretty that every man would fall for their beauty.
Lara was one of the most beautiful Nine-tailed fox of the ancient era. She often went to visit the human society as she liked their culture and tradition. But whenever she visited the human society, all men would loose their consciousness by seeing her beauty and follow her. This made their wives worried. So they planned to kill her. Since Nine-tailed fox couldn't be killed, so they took the help of a Master who made the fox fall in love with him. The Master proposed Lara and asked her to transform into a human completely so that they could marry. Lara was blinded by love. When her Jeonmungaa (Guru) knew about it, she warned her not to believe humans, but Lara didn't listen to her and transformed herself into a complete human. After getting married to Lara, the Master made her pregnant as he knew that Lara will loose all her energy after giving birth to a baby.
When the village women came to the Master and asked him to kill her as soon as possible, the Master replied, "This is not the right time yet. Nine-tailed fox are not easy to be killed. Let her give birth to the baby. One week after the birth of the baby, Lara will loose all her energy. By then, no one could save her from my sword attack. So have patience and wait for the ending."
Fortunately, their conversation was heard by another Nine-tailed fox who communicated it to their Jeonmungaa. Their Jeonmungaa had already predicted such conspiracy to happen. Since she couldn't save Lara anymore as she was transformed to a human, she decided to save her baby as the baby will get birth as a Nine-tailed fox.
The village women waited till the birth of the baby as told by the Master.
One week after the birth of the baby, the village women gathered around Lara's house as the Master was going to kill Lara.
Meanwhile, the Jeonmungaa of the Nine-tailed fox took the baby secretly with her and hid her in a den.
After the death of Lara, not even a single Nine-tailed fox dared to believe humans.
Lara's daughter Hyesuna was brought up by the Jeonmungaa of the Nine-tailed fox. She took care of all the needs of Hyesuna and never allowed her to step into human society.
But Hyesuna couldn't stay calm as she wanted to get revenge for her mother's death.
One day, Hyesuna decided to move to human society secretly without being noticed by her Jeonmungaa.
She escaped from the territory of the Nine-tailed fox and entered the human society.
Searching for her, Hyesuna's Jeonmungaa arrived at her home and scolded her. "I told you repeatedly. Have you decided not to listen to me anytime? Once I lost your mother because of my ignorance. I don't want to loose you, my child!!" Hyesuna's Jeonmungaa started crying.
She again requested Hyesuna, "please come with me. Lets go back to our territory. Human society is not safe for you. We can never trust humans in our life. Lets go back!!"
But Hyesuna denied. "I know Omaa!! U love me a lot!! I love you more than that!! But I couldn't just stay calm and let the past go. I have to get revenge for my mother. The pain she got!! The way she suffered!! I could never forget that. I could never...."
Hyesuna comforted her Jeonmungaa.
She asked her Jeonmungaa, "just give me one chance... Please..."
"I promise you!!
I'll never get hurt by any human. I'll always protect myself at first. I'll never suffer like my mother and most importantly, I'll never believe humans.
So please... Please give me a chance...
If I couldn't keep my words, I'll go back to our territory myself. I promise!!" requested Hyesuna to her Jeonmungaa.
After listening to Hyesuna's promising words, her Jeonmungaa decided to give her a chance.
"Ok Hyesuna. I'll give you a chance. But remember, this is your one and only chance. You have to come back if you couldn't keep your words" Hyesuna's Jeonmungaa told her and went back to their territory.
Hyesuna spent 800 yrs in the human society absorbing the energy of the humans with evil nature and reducing their life span with the help of her orb.
After 800 yrs, Hyesuna faced an unknowing encounter with Hyun which changed the path of her life.
