{@} Chapter 4 {@}
Topanga woke up with a start, her hair a mess and sweat dripping down her face. She had woken up from a nightmare, at 2:42 am. She tried to laugh it off but found it hard, so instead she opened the ceiling window and brewed herself some chamomile tea to calm her down. It was that dream again, the one where she was in the car crash, where she died not her ex-friend. She was just about to die and she woke up. The same thing every time. She hated it. Absolutely Hated that dream. But she simply had her tea and went back to bed hoping that she would have a dreamless sleep, it seemed that with the moonlight shining down on her from the window she was granted the gift of sleep. Not that she had much of it seeming as she had to get up earlier to wash her sweaty hair for school, 5:45 to be exact.
Even though Topanga had had the dream so many times, she still shivered as she sat down in her form room seat.
"You okay? You seem a bit shaken up..." Tallulah asked, even though they had only known each other for a day Topanga knew that she would be a good friend.
"Yeah, I just didn't exactly get a lot of sleep last night I.... had too much homework." It felt bad to lie but she didn't want to worry her friend.
"Okay, if you say your okay... But anyway I thought I should warn you, the school - excuse my french- bitch is back at school today. She's an absolute nightmare. We don't have that many classes with her but shes in your PE class so watch out she might lock you in the shower rooms." Tallulah had a deadpanned face, Topanga could tell this girl was bad news.
"Ouch. If she's got you swearing she must be bad. Who is this kid?" Topanga tried to lighten the mood.
"Her names Hannah Townley, and trust me when you see her you'll be able to tell who she is. The area around her just goes black by her presence." Tallulah jokes, but has worry in her eyes.
Topanga and Tallulah had managed to avoid this mystery bully girl, but at lunch Tallulah pointed her out.
"See the girl in the green military coat that's Hannah. Look but don't look if you know what I mean, shes stood next to the vending machine."
Topanga nodded and looked slightly behind her pretending the get something from her bag, this Hannah girl had her back to Topanga and Tallulah so she couldn't see her face. However she was currently holding a small boy by his collar asking for money. "God she seems like a bitch just from that...." Topanga stated.
"Careful she might hear you and get you." Tallulah joked in between bites of her apple.
"Oh ha ha. Very funny."
But Topanga couldn't shake the feeling that she'd seen this girl before, even though her face was a mystery she just had the strangest feeling they'd met before. Topanga merely shacked the feeling from her head and continued to eat lunch, she only had one lesson left and she could go home.
During art, Topanga and Tallulah talked about their favourite Tv shows, they sat right next to the door so when their teacher - Mr.Kook - strolled in late they found it very hard to not roll their eyes. So they did. He was apparently late as he had caught none other than Hannah Townley smoking behind the art department. The story didn't surprise either of them. Art was fun for Topanga, they were studying dreams so when Topanga thought of Hayley she wasn't surprised. She decided to draw her old friend but have her eyes wide open, but instead of iris's she had the reflection of the car coming straight at her. It was a haunting piece but none the less realistic. Tallulah took one look and her eyes went wide "Okay two questions, 1) how the hell can you draw so good and 2) What on earth did you just draw?" Tallulah seemed ecstatic and Topanga laughed and explained her dream and answered the questions. She was expecting more questions but instead got "So that's why you were so tired today.." Topanga looked down and muttered a yes. Tallulah didn't say anything, only pulled her friend into a hug and gave her a reassuring look. As the bell went for the end of the day the two packed up and walked to their lockers which were coincidentally put next to each other, they totally hadn't bribed some kids to switch lockers.....
However Topanga couldn't get her books out or in of her locker as all she could see was the so called bully of this school, Hannah Townley. Otherwise known as Topanga's ex-friend Hayley Tawn.
"Hayley... Hayley!" Topanga yelled at her old friend.
Hayley looked up and her eyes widened and she ran to Topanga and dragged her into the girls toilet next to them and slammed her into the door. "What the HELL are you doing here Topanga?" Hayley spoke bitterly
"Cant... Breathe." Topanga choked out and Hayley loosened her grip, "I moved after my dad got a job I told you that we were either moving to Australia or England before you died- wait. WHY THE FUCK ARE YOU HERE YOUR DEAD!" Topanga's language was much harsher.
".....ummmm. You see, I didn't actually die in that car crash... i just got badly injured and then my family moved here. But I don't see why i'm telling you any of this. Look just stay away from me and don't call me that i'm Hannah here." And with that she stormed out leaving Topanga on the floor crying as four words left a sting in her heart.
Stay away from me.
