"Knight Rider. A shadowy flight into the dangerous world of a man who does not exist. Michael Knight; a young loner on a crusade to champion the cause of the innocent - the helpless, the powerless - in a world of criminals who operate above the law," K.I.T.T. recited. "Really, Michael. Is this how they are going to represent us? I am not even mentioned at all."

"Come on, pal," Michael responded. "You are very important to me and to the Foundation. That's all that matters. We care about you more than anyone could dream about."

"Yes, but it would be nice to have some kind of mention in the intro to a show dedicated to US."

"Well, you are the main character displayed in their visuals. That kind of representation is beyond what anyone could ask for," he assured K.I.T.T.

"I suppose you are correct."

"How far until we reach the museum?"

K.I.T.T. ran through his monitor a brief calculation of the distance to be traveled. "I'd say about 5 miles."

"Good," Michael smiled. "We should have plenty of time to see the sights before we have to meet Devon."

---------------

The day was beautiful. Hot, but beautiful. Not one cloud in the sky. Traffic was sparse, making it the perfect time of day for sightseeing. In this case, it meant a trip to the museum.

K.I.T.T. pulled up in front of the monstrous building. "Michael, I fail to see the point of looking at fossilized bones and wax statues for hours on end."

"It's a way we admire the accomplishments of our past, K.I.T.T. Those wax statues remind us of the legacy of our past."

"If you say so."

Michael stepped outside, taking in a deep breath of fresh air. "Ah, nothing like a warm sunny day in July."

"Be careful, Michael."

"Aren't I always?" Michael winked at K.I.T.T.

"Michael has arrived at the museum, Devon," Bonnie informed.

"Good. Tell him I'll be there shortly. After all, this is a matter of National Security we're talking about. How has the delivery been going so far?"

"Smooth. There haven't been any signs of criminals."

"That's great. Let's just hope Michael can catch the man responsible for creating such a monstrosity. I'll keep in touch. Be safe, Bonnie."

"I sure will, Devon."

Bonnie disconnected the call, giving a collective sigh of relief. The device in front of her looked harmless enough, but it was lethal enough to shut down every electronic system on Earth. That meant no communication, no travel, no ATMs, no entertainment, no K.I.T.T....

Pretty much everything wiped at the press of a button.

The van suddenly swerved, forcing Bonnie to hold on to the seat. "What the...!" she could hear the driver shout.

"What's wrong?" She asked.

"Oh, no. Everyone brace for impact! Our brakes are cut!"
