You look up at Mattheo to see a face of heartache and despair, you take his hand and hold it tighter. Blaise turns around to the 4 children and looks at them with rage in his eyes " Get lost" he exclaims, you look back at the 4 children as they scatter up to their dorm room.
You look up at Mattheo as you see a pool of water forming in his eyes "You okay" you smile even though you know the answer, he chuckles in response and ignores the question by smiling "What did I do to deserve a girl like you" he gently places a kiss on the top of your silky (y/h/c) hair, you try to hide your smile.
~~~~~ A few minutes later ~~~~~
People start to enter the Common Room as they are coming back from meeting the first Years and other transfers. As all the first years walk in, in their little groups of about 3 or 4, they always look straight at Mattheo probably thinking something about the fact his father is the Dark Lord.
~~~~~ A Few hours later ~~~~~
You, Mattheo, Pansy and Blaise start making your way to the Great hall for dinner, once you have all sat down, Dumbledore makes one of his little speeches and talks a little bit more about how the year is going to go "Now lets enjoy this wonderful meal" he ends his speech with whilst raising his glass.
As you all start to dig in to the feast Draco walks through the grand entrance of the Great Hall just behind him was professor Snape, quite a few people turn their heads into their direction. You squint your eyes whilst looking at Draco who is on the other end of the hall to you guys " Is his cheek bleeding or is it just me" , Pansy swings her head around and looks at Draco and also squints her eyes " Oh my lord it does look bloody, shh he's coming ".
You both swing your head back towards your plates of food, once he reaches the table he sits next to Mattheo, but you couldn't keep your mouth shut for long "What happened to your face" you spurt out, he look up at you and take a second before answering and smiles which is very rare for him " I- uh, I fell down the staircase", you look at him and furrow your brows in disbelief, but decide to just let him lie as you eat a chicken wing.
After dinner in the great hall, the five of you go up to the Slytherin Common room, once you all walk up there Draco seems very off, as if he's waiting for something or more so someone. As your looking at him he looks up at you and you hold eye contact for a moment before looking back at Mattheo sat next to you, as your looking at Mattheo you can't stop thinking about what's up with Draco, you don't really care if somethings wrong you just want to know.
~~~~~ The Next Morning ~~~~~
You wake up to Mattheo shaking you awake " Wake up" he whispers several times, " What do you want, it's the middle of the night " you complain. "Just come with me " he smiles, you groan as you see the time is only 04:19am " Why are you waking me up this early anyways" you ask as you continue to put your hoodie on, "Would you hurry up" A very impatient Mattheo whisper-yells.
As you get off the bed and slowly walk towards the door while rubbing your eyes, Mattheo comes up to you and hugs you, then next thing you know you get flung over his shoulder, you start to kick you legs up in he air as you want him to put you back on the oak floor.
After a few minutes of kicking and quietly yelling at Mattheo, he puts you down onto the cold hallway flooring, he opens the door in front of the both of you and gestures for you to go in, you walk in and stop as your are the bottom of a large spiral staircase, you turn around as he closes the door behind the two of you.
You both make it up the many flights of spiral stairs until you got to the top of the astronomy tower, you look up at the bright stars and there is not a cloud in site, you walk towards the railing and look over to the far view of the mountains, a moment later Mattheo comes up next to you "So why did you wake me up at 4am"you yawn, he continues to look over at the mountains in the foggy distance, until he swiftly moves his head to face you with a soft huff, then oddly with a smile that grew more as the two of you maintained eye contact.
He looked back into the distance and his smile grew uncontrollable, he looks back at you and smirks "I love you (y/n)". You start smiling uncontrollably and turn your head to face him "I love you too".
