Empty chest
Swollen eyes
"I never thought it would hurt like this,"
She whispered
"We all grow up with this idea of love. That love never changes, that love never hurts. We carve that into our hearts and minds and then we learn that it's all...."
She stops mid sentence realizing nobody was quite listening
So she screamed, boy she screamed
"My apologies!! I guess nobody heard me speaking. No one ever hears me speaking....
She collapsed onto the floor , as if saying that took a huge weight off her shoulders,
As if she has been waiting forever to say just that
And those words clung to every single person in the room
As if a child added too much glue to the words, making them stick to their faces,
Forced into their ears
Like loud music they can't shut out
And finally she was heard
That's all she ever wanted,
Was to be heard.
