~~~~~Chapter 1~~~~~
—————Chapter Start—————
>Kaeya was selected<
-{7:30am}-
It's just fatter breakfast now and Kaeya had agreed to hang out with me this morning. I walked into the gym, and he was there shining a sharp-looking sword that I assume was what was clipped to his belt before.
"Oh, you made it. Any time later and I would have thought I would have scared you off." He said, hinting to the sword.
"I get into bar fights with guys 3 things my size, I don't think a sword can scare this bard~" I winked.
"Quite impressive for a little guy like you." He smirked as if challenging me to fight him.
"I mostly scream 'til their ears bleed and their begging me to stop, did you think I use my arms and legs to fight when I have this beautiful voice as a weapon?" I smiled proudly.
"Well, that's one way to win a fight I guess."Kaeya replied, not that surprised.
"So, what did you want from Diluc yesterday? He seemed in a small bit of a hurry to come talk to you." I asked as we both sat on the wooden floor.
"Well, I wanted to have a brother-to-brother talk, we haven't had one in a very long time as he was too busy serving alcoholics at his taverns than to spend time with me." He said with a sad sigh at the end.
"Hold up, you're brothers?!" I shouted in shock. They look nothing alike, but they're brothers?! How does that work?!
"Now I can understand why you scream at people to win bar fights. Yes, we are brothers but I was adopted, so not blood related." He replied, a little shook from how loud I was.
"Ehe, sorry 'bout that." I said, rubbing the back of my neck.
"So, why doesn't Diluc try to make time to talk to you?" I asked. I think that was a bad question to ask seeming as Kaeya's mood dropped faster that pulling your hand away from the hot frying pan your mother said not to touch.
"Well... an incident happened with our Dad that caused him to pass and Diluc blames me." He said, turning his head away so I couldn't see his face.
"Oh... I'm sorry I asked." I mumbled, looking down.
"No, no! It's not your fault for being curious." He said, turning back around. We sat in sicken with for a few minutes, trying to think of a way to change the subject.
"Hey Kaeya? Do you have your eyes of someone in particular?" I asked, smirking as he blushed a little.
"No, not at all." He lied.
"Kaeya, you can't lie to me. I see the way you look at Albedo, AND you get flirty with him. You like him, don't ya!" I said playfully with a smug smile.
"Fine. Maybe I do have a crush on him." He said, trying to cover his blush with his hand.
"I knew it!" I squealed, bouncing around where I sat.
"Well you're in luck my dear friend for the human embodiment of Cupid is here to help!~" I smiled, putting my hands on my hips.
"Sure then, let's see how much you can help." He said. I accept this challenge! You'll see!
"Well then, I better plan the first steps! I'll talk to you later!" I said, standing up.
"Oh, already? Maybe next time I can teach you some sword fighting!" I shouted as I waved from the door and walked off.
I started thinking of all the things I can do to help get Kaeya with Albedo. Maybe a special dinner together? No, too soon. Movie night together in the AV room? Nah. Get them to hang out more first, try see if Albedo catches feelings as well.
I need to get some help, but who? Xiao, I think I'll get him to help.
Again, I ran around the dome, this time looking for Xiao. After 10 whole minutes of continuous running, I find him sitting under a tree near the dorms.
"XIAOOOOOOOO!" I yelled as I ran faster towards him. He watched as I came, unbothered. That was u too he realised I was slowing down as I got closer.
He scrambled to get up as I began to jump at him, sadly for him, he wasn't fast enough. I football-tackled him to the ground getting pushed of after we landed.
"What the hell!? That hurt!" He yelled, dusting himself off and checking to see if he had any bruises.
"Ehe, not sorry!" I said, sitting down next to him.
"I need help. So I was talking to Kaeya and I found out he has feeling for Albedo and I got into a bet. Kaeya thinks that I can't hook him up with Albedo, I need some help with proving him wrong. Pleease!" I asked, trying to make puppy eyes at him.
"Sounds like he's just trying to get you to get him into a relationship without having to do much." Xiao said, rolling his eyes.
"Pleeeeeease help?" I begged, intensifying the puppy eyes. He stared at me for at least a minute before heavily sighing and agreeing.
"Thank yoouu!" I happily said, smiling at him.
"So what's step 1?" Xiao asked holding his arms.
"Well, I thing they should get to k ow each other a little more first and see if Albedo is catching feeling for Kaeya too." I said.
"Seems reasonable, you can't just start dating a guy you met 2 days ago and know nothing about them." Xiao replied.
He seems less closed off then when we first met, not by a lot, it's only just noticeable.
"That's true." I mumbled, putting a finger to my chin in thought.
We sat silently, watching the clouds outside the glass prison float along the sky. As I was about to open my mouth to say something, a sound I have been dreading to hear sounds. Something everyone has feared.
"A body has been discovered!"
