'Why did I just agree to that' you wonder.
Maybe it's because it was 3am, maybe it's because you find it hard to say 'no' to Anon, but you had just agreed to watch horror movies with him. To be more specific, you had just agreed to watch horror movies at night.
You laid back on your bed, clutching your phone to your chest and sighed. You stared up at the ceiling for a bit and then re-read the last text Anon sent,
'Ight luv, prepare urself 4 scares :)'

-time skip brought to you by: i lowkey forgot how to write Anons accent but it's gonna be fine-

'I'm doing this, there's no backing down now' you thought as you approached the door. Your hand was about to know on the door, when the door opened
"Nice ta see ya luv!" your boyfriend smiled
"Uh, ye-yeah nice to see you too"
Anon clearly noticed the nervousness in your voice,
"wot's wrong luv? scared 'or the film?"
a soft blush rose to your cheeks, "n-no!! I'm not scared of some movie!"
Anon chuckled as he practically dragged you inside "sure luv, woteva ya say".

Anon already had everything laid out on his coffee table. There were two fairly large bowls of popcorn (A/N: sorry if you don't like popcorn) and a few sweet treats, there was an entire bag of f/c.

"alrigh' ya ready y/n?" anon looked over at you.
you took a seat next to him on the couch, you gave him a thumbs up and a 'I don't you to know that I'm nervous' nervous smile, "ready as I'll ever be!"
"'kay" he looked to the tv, "do ya hav' any favorites?"

'oh, no' you thought 'well what's one that doesn't terrify me completely?'
you had to think quickly and the first not really scary, lowkey scary film that you thought of was Coraline
"I, uh... I re-really like Coraline!" you said before you could stop yourself.
...but it was a children's film, how bad could it be?
you continued to look straight ahead in such a way that if anime sweat drops were real, you'd have one. Anon turned to you,
"Are ye jokin'?"
you let out the least nervous laugh you could muster "yeah, i was... you know me and my jokes too well"
you were still looking straight ahead, but now you were clutching onto your popcorn bowl for dear life
"uh, sure" Anon stated blankly "we're watchin' Scary Stories ta 'ell in the Dark"

Scary Stories to Tell in the Dark, well... this is going to be fun...

Auggie proceeds to be a jump scaring rat and opens the ONE closet that Chuck is hiding in.
obviously you jump slightly because jump scares do that to you.
"Is it too much 'or ya?"
you didn't even need to look away from the screen to know that Anon was smirking.
oh, so he found your fear funny?
Well, now you have to prove him wrong, you're going to sit through the whole movie.
"no i'm fine, just got lost in thought for a bit"
yeah, good response, you thought. I'm a brave guy. I can do this.

-another time skip bc this author is gonna write the whole movie out-

You know what, the gangly man is so terrifying that you almost let your guard down and hide in Anon's arms. Which doesn't sound half bad, but at this point you're just trying to get through the movie to say that you did, which is fair.

you know what, do what you want, time on this plane of existence is short. so, you move yourself over slightly and wrap your arms around Anon. he doesn't say a word as he lifts his arm and wraps it around you, pulling you closer. you bury your head in his chest, and the soft sound of his heartbeat almost makes you forget about the movie playing beside you.

a bit later, the movie turns to credits. Without disturbing you Anon grabs the remote and turns the TV off. After doing that he fully takes you into his arms.
"if ye were scared ya should ov told meh"
you lifted your head to look at him, and blinked at him.
"I just... I kinda, kinda...i'm not sure"
"did ye want ta prove someathing"
"maybe?"
Anon gave a smile, "well no ma'er wot, ye will al'ays be my brave guy"
he brought up his hand to ruffle your hair slightly. The gesture brought a smile to your face.
after the small roller coaster of emotions tonight, this was the perfect way to end it.

(A/N: fun fact: I don't have the attention span to watch movies so I watched the cinemasins vid of Scary Stories)
