Chapter 1
"Lottie! Time to wake up! There's post for you!" yelled a voice. Lottie quickly made her way downstairs in her long t-shirt, shorts and some whale slippers. As she walked downstairs she tied her hair up into a loose bun.
she yawned lightly as she stepped into the kitchen. The usual morning scene appeared. Her dad sat at the table, her mother at the stove cooking what smelt like eggs and bacon.
Lottie wandered over to her seat at the table and sat down.
"Now Lottie, the time has come. Your Hogwarts letter has arrived" spoke Lottie dad, with a sense or pride and excitement in his voice.
Excitedly, Lottie ripped open the letter and read through the letter carefully. "Well it says here, that term begins at September 1st, and they await my owl by July 31st"she read out loud.
"But we're are we going to find all of these things?" Lottie asked holding out the supply list.
"hunny, it's time we took her to Diagon Alley" spoke her father, a tone of emotion quite evident in his voice. "I can't believe the time has come" he spoke softly standing up.
A few minutes later there appeared a plate of bacon and eggs in front of the small girl. "Thank you Mum" she smiled up at the older lady before tucking in.
Once the food had disappeared and the plates had been cleared away she sat back down. "Lottie, we're going to leave in around 30 minutes. I'd quickly go get dressed unless you want to go in your pyjamas?" her mother joked.
Lottie quickly ran upstairs and changed from her pyjamas into a spotted black and white dress, she then pulled on a pair of black tights and slipped on her leather jacket. She then pulled her long brown locks into a high ponytail.
Happy with her look she walked downstairs and then slipped on her white Dr Martins. "ready" she called out to her parents.
Humming to herself she waited at the door until a few minutes later her parents made their way to the door, all ready to go.
A few minutes later they were all sat in the car and had already begun driving to the city of London. Since they lived in a small village near London they didn't have far to go.
Lottie's eyes looked out of the window, watching the shops and houses pass quickly, it was all like an illusion.
Before they knew it they stood at the top of Diagon Alley. "Dad will take you to get your wand, your cauldron and your choice of animal and I'll go fetch all of these books you require. " spoke Lottie's mum pulling the supply list from her bag.
"Alrighty" spoke an exicted Lottie as herself and her dad began walking.
Not only did Lottie see many old wizards and witches lurking she also saw many excited first years rushing about with their families trying to get all of their things ready for school.
As she gazed around while walking her eyes laid onto a brown hair boy, a smile instantly painting itself on her face. "Gran! We've already got my Cauldron, we got it the other day" she heard come from his lips.
"Oh Neville don't you yell at me, old age is setting in, now let's go see if we can buy you an animal" she heard come from quite a wildly dressed, short lady.
Before she could continue watching the scene play out she felt herself being pulled into a shop. This shop as she saw contained many boxes.
"Lottie, this is Ollivanders, and this is where you will be matched up with your wand. This is where uncle Dom got his wand, where I got my wand and where your mother got her wand. Not this is where you will get your wand here too." Alfie explained walking to the counter, Lottie closely following behind her.
