Purvi ( POV )

" Put little bit oil on top of the meat....yes. Thats it. " Said DCP sir to abhijeetsir who is standing by the fire cooking.

" Yes sir.. " he said with a suppressed angry tone. DCP sir is ordering around sitting on a chair and Abhijeet sir is just hating it.

" cooking and eating together...so much fun right. " Said Dr salunkha.
" But somepeople just loves to spend time alone. " he said hinting the couples.

" yes sir all together....so much fun. " Said ACP sir trying to skip the topic.

" Sir while the food is getting ready...why dont you share some of your mission stories with us. " asked kavin sir.

" Stories.....can you hear ACP...our struggles are just some stories now. " he said in a tone which means I am hurt but not angry...in a funny way.

" What they will understand sir...what we have lost in the way of duty and loyalty. " Said ACP sir with a sigh probably remembering his son.

" Lets not remember those sad days...we are on a vacation guys. DCP sir why don't you share your adventure stories. " Said Dr salunkha trying to change the tense environment.

" yes sir, please...share something. " Said pankaj while chewing on some garlic bread.

" Lets start with ACP....say
something. " Said DCP sir refilling his empty glass. ACP sir took one glass and started narrating one incident where he was almost burned alive.

We sat their listening him. Must say our sir is very brave. " Hey! you guys are listening stories without me...not fair. " Said Abhijeet sir walking in with a plate filled with meat, and paratha .

pankaj and Frederick sir almost jumped on the food. Kavin sir saved some for me and sat with me to eat.

" And I thought someone was alone. " Whispered Dr sarunkha only for us to hear. " Sir you are making fun of us..." said Kavin sir and they laughed at their little joke.

" What we have not faced...we have seen ghosts also in our line of work...remember that haunted
house. " Said Daya sir.

" Of course...pankaj was soo scared. " Said fedrick sir. Pankaj gave him an angry look.

" As if you were not scared at all fedricks..you were so scared. " Said Daya sir laughing. I guess salunkha sir's special drink is working.

" But I know someone who can scare fedrick more than ghost. " Said Abhijeet sir.

" who is it? " everyone asked out of curiosity. " His wife " replied Abhijeet sir making everyone laugh.

" Sir....laugh but once you get married you will lose that smile." said Frederick sir.

" Jung aur shaadi alag hai kya....kiu Frederickji. " Joked Abhijeet sir.
" You're are saying all married man are sad? " asked Dr Taraika with red eyes. Someone is in trouble.

" No....no I didn't mean that
way...." Abhijeet sir hurriedly tried to cover up his mistake.

" But you sounded like you mean it. " said pankaj fanning the already burning fire.

" Sir.....we know about ACP sir...but what about you? we dont know anything about you....you are married or single?" asked Dr salunkha saving others from that topic.

" Me....well was happily married once but one incident has ruined everything for me. " he said in a sad tone.

" You were married....well thats something new. Sir please tell us more about it. " asked Acp sir.

" Its a sad story...I dont want to ruin your vacation mood. " he said tossing a fried meat in his mouth.

" sir please....we insist. " requested Daya sir. " Well, now that you're so egar to know. I am not DCP that time....just a officer like you. I was under ACP Durjaan singh. I was having a lovely wife name priya. She was pregnant that time. But for my work I couldn't give her time. " he said and sighed.

" Like that the day of delivery came.... I took a day off to be with my wife. At that time Eye X was terrifying the towm by planting domb and robbing banks. I was working on that case....it was a risky case but with our sources almost got that guy....." his voice getting more thin.

" Just when my wife gave birth to a beautiful boy in HBP hospital .....I got a call from my ACP...a possible attack...I had to report back. I didn't even get time to hold my daughter. When I went back ACP Durjaan told me a news of possible attack has been reported. I with my team went out to work. All day...and nothing so we thought it must be a prank...but it wasn't. " he paused and thats not a good sign.

" I got a call from the hospital informing me that the hospital my wife was in was in fire...several people died....including my family. I rushed back but there was nothing to see....just one boy and a girl from another family.....whose father was actually their for her survived. I lost my everything....and after that I never cared for a dam thing in the world. " he said giving a I dont care look.

The air has became tense. No one knows what to say. " Sir You never told me about that incident....thats why you killed Eye X leader with your own hands. " asked ACP sir.

" Twelve bullets....worth it. " he said with his famous smile. " Now dont sit here discussing my story and ruin your evening...eat drink and have
fun. " thats more like DCP sir.

After the dinner everyone left for their room. I stood in the varanda looking at the moon.

" Not sleepy? " asked Kavin sir standing next to me. " DCP sir's story reminded me about something...you know how my father has kidnapped me from my family? " I asked him and he nodded.

" well, I contacted with my previous family few months ago. No one alive...but our housemaid who still lives their contacted with me. We really had a good conversation. And she told me something that is surprising. " I told him.

" what?" he asked. " That I am a miracle baby...I survived a fire out break......I survived the fire outbreak of HBP hospital organized by the EyeX group. " a information which is new for me too. But thats the truth. Tragedies and I....best friends.
