Not My Fault I Hate Everyone But You: Karkat Vantas

You heard a loud thumping coming towards your room. You had been throwing up all night and you most definitely didn't want to be talking with anyone right now. You couldn't even think straight! So when your best friend Karkat showed up in your room with his forehead against yours, you thought you were the one caring for him, not the other way around.

"YOUCH!" he screeched out in his regular voice. "WHY IS YOUR FUCKING FOREHEAD THIS FUCKING HOT?! I DIDNT THINK TROLLS COULD FUCKING BE THIS FUCKING WARM!"

"Karkat." you winced from his loud voice, "can you speak softer or something?" he noticed how your voice was barely understandable with all the cracking.

"Sorry!" he whispered in his same scratchy annoying voice you loved so much. He never showed this side unless he was just alone with you, and it sent shivers through your entire being to see it. You giggled softly at your thoughts, which caused you to start coughing like a banshee. A knot formed in your stomach, you definitely didn't want to throw up with him anywhere near you. But you knew he wouldn't leave his fellow troll until she felt better.

"I-it's okay." you barely whispered reaching for a teacher to blow your nose with.

"Ca-" he was about to say something before you threw him away from you while you sprinted to your toilet. Any food or liquid that was in your stomach before now, had a new residency in the toilet bowl. You lifted your hair as far away from your mouth as you could before cold fingers brushed against your neck taking the hair from you.

You started crying as soon as you finished, you never wanted Karkat to see you this weak. "S-sorry you have to see this."

"WHAT?!" he yelled, watching you cringe, "it's okay, I mean... I don't enjoy watching my favourite tr- least hated troll upchuck whatever she had for dinner!" a blush formed on both of your cheeks.

He had carried you over to your bed and tucked you in before you fell asleep. He may have mentioned getting you some stuff to make you feel better but you didn't remember, everything was all foggy.

"(Y/N)." his chilly hand rubbed against your face. He was about to leave because he knew the other trolls would be asking where he went and everything, but once his hand left you, a squeak left your lips and you grasped the air for him. He didn't want to miss the opportunity to cuddle with you so he pulled the blankets down and fell asleep right next to you.

*The Next Morning*

A rather nice coldness was pressed against your back and across your tummy when you woke up. You had definitely started feeling better after the most hateful troll came to help you yesterday. You snuggled closer into the thing. It kind of smelt like Karkat but you still were in the morning phase of waking up so you thought you were dreaming... And then you started putting two and two together... The coldness... The smell... Even the breathing! You jolted up causing him to groan and rub his eyes.

"(Y/N) lay back down and come back to sleep dammit." his morning voice said huskily. You melted from the sound, only to freeze back into his arms. "I may hate a lot of people and trolls, but I do love you. So I took care of you. And now your making up for it with cuddles and sleep."

A bright and bubbly smile formed on your face, "Ne~ Karkat. Did I just hear you say you loved me?"

"WHAT?!" he jumped out of the bed embarrassed. "NO YOU DID NOT!"

"Oh shut up and just get in bed with me." you quickly pulled him in your bed. "because I love you too. And just like you I want cuddles." the make troll had a bloody nose from getting in bed with you and chuckled once he realised what you meant.

"Yeah yeah. Gosh don't make me hate you like the others-" you kissed him to shut him up and to start the day long cuddle session.
