"Eh?! We have a school library? Since when?" Izuku Midoriya was completely blown away by this information. He was talking to one of his closest friends Shoto Todoroki.

"You didn't know? I thought you especially would be aware of its existence."  Todoroki was just as confused as Midoriya. They had been talking about their homework and how Izuku was falling behind because he was putting his hero work ahead of school work and Todoroki recommend for him to study in the library, hence how they arrived at this point.

Todoroki was showing him the way to the library, it was found at the back of the school almost as if hidden away on out of the way pathway amongst some forest trees. It was a single story building that looked abandoned giving it a haunting atmosphere but Izuku was too excited and Todoroki was too dense, for either of them  to notice.

"Here it is, Midoriya, I have plans with my family so I'll be leaving."

"Ah, thanks Todoroki, tell Fuyumi and the rest of your family I said hey," He ran into the building, bursting the doors wide open, leaving Shoto in a trail of dust.

Todoroki blinked before replying, thinking Midoriya heard him. "You're still coming over to our home this weekend right? She's excited to cook for you again."

Izuku Midoriya was scouring the rows of bookshelves. The library was empty, and hollow, matching the aura it gave from the outside. The light only reached the two lonesome tables, giving the rest of the room a darker appeal. The checkout counter was by the table and door entrance. But Izuku was not paying attention to his surrounds, just looking for any books that could give him more knowledge on heroes that the internet couldn't provide. "U.A. is bound to have something hidden here!" And he getting particularly hyped about finding something about All-Might.

"Do you have an inquiry" The library's student assistant whispered behind his ear.

"Hie!!!" Izuku cried, fumbling into the bookshelf and knocking down a few. He turned around in a panic, leaning on the shelf as he stared at the person who startled him. "Yanagi, what are you doing here?" It was one of their class B counterparts, Reiko Yanagi."

She had ghostly pale hair that would cover one eye, her hands were up to her waist hanging limp, mimicking a ghost, similar to Asui and the way she put her hands up like a frog. She had a purple bag weighing on her only visible eyelid, implying she would rest when she was dead. And yet her eye had an undying shine despite the melancholic stare.

Reiko blinked, tilting her head, "I'm the student librarian." Stating matter-of-fact. "I am astonished this is your first visit to here. We are in our third year, after all."

Izuku had a sheepish smile looking away with some shame as he ruffled the back of his hair, "That's only because I just found out about it."

Reiko continued to blink before her lips pursed as if trying to hold it in before letting out a few giggles. "Your hero moniker fits the situation at hand, doesn't it. It's quite ironic considering your appreciation for books." She had to cover her mouth with one of her hands.

"Y-Yeah, I guess it does, huh?" Izuku scratched his cheek with a small blush growing over his cheeks, it was the first time he had heard her laugh and he didn't know it was so enchanting. "Er, but I came here looking for anything on heroes... or, maybe," He trailed off not being able to say it.

She raised an eyebrow in curiosity, "Well it seems you already located the hero section, although what was the other thing you were looking for?"

"Um..." Izuku thought about revealing his guilty shame, darting his eyes to and away from Reiko, "A-Any good romance books?" And he also mentioned a few type of books that he had read, looking for similar types.

Upon hearing one of the books her eye lit up, "You've read those too!" Her voice carrying the excitement in her eye.

Izuku was taken aback, "U-Ugh, yeah, they're kinda my guilty pleasure..."

The hand that was over her lips, lowered to place her index finger on her chin as she continued to look at him, "Would you like some coffee?"

After he admitted it she got them both a cup off coffee. Izuku and Reiko began to discuss the books they read, finding they had a lot of similar interests. They were sitting across from each other from one of the tables. They got into discussions about the themes and characters of a certain story.

"They are just inverses of each other, hence why in the first one his lack of sleep came from a lack of quirk-,"

"O-Oh! That's why in the new one he can't sleep because of the responsibility of his quirk!" Izuku finished her train of thought as he came to the realization she suggesting. "That actually makes a lot of sense, I never thought of it like that."

Reiko crossed her arms with a proud nod, as she leaned back on her chair, "Thanks, I enjoy that I get to share my finding with someone."

And neither of them were aware of the time that had passed.

Izuku's phone began to ring, "Ah, sorry, let me just get that real quick." He pulled out his phone and answered it, "Hey, Tsuyu, what's up? Oh right Karaoke, sorry I got caught up at the library, yeah I just found out we had one, anyways, I'll meet you guys there." Izuku hung up and started to get his things.

"Plans with friends?" She asked.

"Uh, yeah," Izuku slung his school bag over his shoulder, before his eyes landed back on Reiko. "H-Hey do you want to join us? W-We're gonna go sing some Karaoke, it'll be fun." Izuku offered, he never really hung out with her but after the conversation he just had with her, he wanted to get to know her better, making a mental note to become her friend. She was interesting.

"Despite the appeal I must decline, I have a pottery class soon."

"Pottery?"

Reiko continued her unwavering blinking as she took another sip of her coffee. "It helps me relax at night."

But Izuku could tell that she wasn't getting any sleep and wondered what she meant as he stared off into her haunting luminescent orbs.
