The next day I woke up at 4 am, even though it was saturday. Today was the concert, and I knew I had to be there very early to be near the stage. Still, it would probably get difficult to get to front row. A few people even camped outside the venue or got there around 1am. So I got up and went down for breakfast, yawning. I definitely should have slept earlier, but after yesterday I just couldn't fall asleep. While eating I checked my phone, to see if my best friend Lucy was also awake. We would meet at the arena. After eating, showering and putting my clothes on I decided to bring a book with me, so I wouldn't get bored. At 4.45 am I was ready to go. Luckily my mom had agreed to bring me to the arena, else I would have had to wake up even earlier to catch the train. While driving we listened to some 1D songs. Really cool when your mother is a fan too, I can only recommend it. After half an hour and a session of karaoke in the car we arrived, and I walked over to the stairs.„If you need anything Darling, just call me, ok? I'll bring it to you", my mom shouted after me.
„Thank you, I'll keep it in mind. Goodbye, have a nice day!"
I really loved my mom. She would always bring me everywhere, and supported me in everything I wanted to do. And she was a Directioner, that was even better. Later she would come here again and would also attend the concert, but not from first row. Lucy and I had offered to her that she could stay with us, but mom turned it down. I quote:
„I have way too much work to do, I can't be there the whole day, waiting. And you'll have much more fun without me, I promise."
Well, her choice. I respect that.
I started looking out for my friend. She would probably arrive a few minutes later, she had a much longer way, and had to come by train. While I was waiting for her, I watched the other fans who had already arrived. Some seemed pretty normal, others looked pretty weird. One girl wore a whole ballgown in the colours of their mics. Another one obviously thought a wedding dress would be appropriate. Sometimes I worry about our fandom. Then I got myself the best spot in the queue still availabe and sat down. I was glad it was summer, if the show would have been during winter or early spring I'd have frozen to death. But now I was warm enough with T-shirt, shorts and a thin jacket. And I wouldn't get a cystitis from sitting on the cold ground.
About 30 minutes later Lucy arrived. She decided to wear a 1D sweatshirt and normal Jeans. I guess she wore something different under the sweater, else she'd gonna feel very hot during the concert. Her brown hair was in a messy bun.
„Ayla!! Nice to see you! How are you!"
„I'm great thank you. And you?"
'Oh, I'm amazing. God, I'm really excited for later. We're gonna see 1D. Live. As real people. I still can't really comprehend that. But before, you have to tell me everything about yesterday. Every. Single. Detail, ok?"
„I already told you everything yesterday on the phone! But ok."
We ended up talking about yesterday and analysing every detail for the next hour, while keeping our voices as low as possible. I didn't want anyone else to know about it.
The rest of the day wasn't boring at all. Every few minutes someone started to play music, everyone sang as loud as they could. We'd probably have a sore throat even before the concert had started. We both read, at around 1 pm we ate the lunch we brought with us. At this time there were already so many fans outside, that the whole area was crowded. If we hadn't come so early we would have never been this near to the entrance. Time passed. At 6 pm the gates were opened to let the fans into the arena. We ran across the empty floor, straight to the stage. I have no idea how, but we got 'seats' in the first row! Now we had to wait for another two hours before the show started. But the party began way earlier. About 10 minutes after the gates had been opened, someone blasted music again (One Direction songs of course). The atmosphere was already amazing. I felt like having an adrenalin rush for the next hours.

FanfictionHey everyone. This is my first story here, so it's probably terribly written, so sorry about that in advance. It's about One Direction (what a surprise), but not the kind of fanfic you usually see: -It is not a romance, not even as a subplot, so no...
