Chapter 13: Tabs

Y/N's POV
i need to find out more about this girl. how is Lani just gonna let her stay like that without even knowing her and then going the extra mile to take her home.

i don't know, maybe i'm overthinking just a little bit. maybe it's because i've just woken up. i need to find out about her one way or another.

i'll ask Bri and Destin when they wake up.

imma go see if DeyDey's up, i wanna spend the day with her, i haven't seen her in so long it feels.

i got up from the bed and stretched like i usually do. it feels good. i walked out the room and headed to Adeya's.

"DeyDey?" i went in and i didn't see her. where could she be?

"Adeya." i looked further and she still wasn't there.

hmm, that's weird.

i walked out of her room and walked downstairs.

"y/n/n, is that you?" i heard Destin's voice and walked down quicker.

"yeah. you're awake? and her you are..." i walked over and picked Adeya up.

"...i've been looking for you." i kissed her on her cheek.

"yeah, i've been up, i got Adeya cause Bri left to go get us some food."

"oh, i was just about to ask where she was. hopefully she's on her way soon because i wanted to talk to the both of y'all about something."

"what you wanna talk about?" he sat up and readjusted himself.

"y'all's new friend."

"Dez?"

"yeah, her. who is she?"

"well, she's a new friend, we met her about two weeks ago. we was hoping y'all, y'all being you and Lani, would get to know her. she's a really cool girl and we like her."

"i don't know, she seems off, but maybe it's just me."

"already? damn, i'd be sad if i was her."

"does she even know me?"

"of course she knows you. aren't you famous? and plus, you're with Kehlani, one of the hottest out. she would've known who you were one way or another."

"you're right i suppose, but i still don't know how i feel about her."

"why's that?"

"i don't know, her vibe is weird to me. you know, last night when we got back and she was on the couch with y'all, we made eye contact for a second and the look on her face was not that nice."

"so that's why you went upstairs?"

"yes, but i also did want to see Adeya. i was tired too."

"that makes some kind of sense, but i think you're overthinking it a little too much. come on, i promise she's not bad at all. give her a chance, please."

"hmmm." the doorknob rattled and stopped our convo. we looked as the door opened and it was Bri.

"hey Bri."

"hi Bri."

"hey y'all, y/n/n, when did you wake up?"

"before Lani left, but that's not what's important."

"what do you mean?" she looked at me then she looked at Destin.

"you're here just in time."

"for?"
