WALNUT COOKIE POV:

My dad and I had bought and are moving into the two stories above my friend's house recently, but he doesn't know yet. I was gonna call him but... I dunno. Maybe it's my fear of confronting people, or my big fat crush on him that's just so obvious to everyone EXCEPT HIM. I sighed and picked up the phone, but it started ringing. I answered. "This is Walnut Cookie speaking!"
"Oh hey Walnut." I heard the recognizable voice utter.
OH CRAP HE'S TALKING TO ME WHAT DO I DO WHAT DO I DO WHAT DO I DO
"Heeeeyy Loserrr!!" My hand shook as I held the phone. The bumpiness of the road towards the building didn't help.
"You sound uneasy. Are you okay?" I could hear his brothers yelling at each other in the back.
"Yup! J-just fine! The road's just a bit bumpy." I sighed.
"Oh well that's cool. I wanted to call to say we're getting some upstairs neighbors today. Supposedly a daughter and father? Thought you guys'd like them."
"It's, funny that you bring that up." My hand shook, but I sighed and told him. "We're the ones moving in, Loser."
"Oh! Well, uh, that's surprising to say the least." I could hear him tremble a bit.

LOSER POV:

Great, just great. First, Sel tries to get me to rip out Cy's wires, then, dad gets hit by a truck TWICE, and now my childhood friend, who I've had a humongous crush on, is moving in? I'll be a flustered mess all day! I went back to the phone.
"Uhm, Loser? You there?" Walnut asked.
"Yeah, I just needed to process that."
"Oh well, we're 5 minutes away!"
Five minutes... away?
She's FIVE MINUTES AWAY?
