Y/n wasn't the wasn't the wealthiest person growing up.
During their childhood they struggled to pay bills because y/n didn't have a dad.
They wanted to go to college but never had the money but one day they got a offer to play "kids games?" For money.
How hard could it be ?
They decided to join and because y/n wasn't that close with their mom they were pretty sad that they wouldn't be able to see their mom until she leaves the games.
Although y/n was sad to be leaving they were devastated that they couldn't bring their pet cat (lets name the cat cloud?)

He almost got ran over by a car after that he decided to just stay in the house and never escape again.
