It's been a year since that unforgettable night, Charles Potter was now 7 years old and although he was praised as the savior with encouragment from his parents and spoiled by the wizarding population of Britian. He never acted spoiled, in fact truth be told he hated his fame. Yep you heard me right he utterly despised it. All the photos, interviews, conferences it was to much. All for something he didnt even do. Charles wanted to play and be a kid like his little Bambi, Harry. He loved his brother no cross that he adored and mothered him. Harry was taken care of by the House elves and Charles, when the boy even got time to himself.

Speaking of parents, Lily spoiled him to no end much to his displeasure. He had rooms of wizarding merchandise, knickknacks. and toys and she also had a room of things Charles could use when he was older. She also became the light of the social spotlight any party she wasn't at was a party not worth going to or that's what they said in witch weekly's magazine anyway. The fame went to her head.

His father rose through the ranks of the Aurors by throwing his son's name around. What ever happened to the old dad he knew? the one who told him that the road to success is paved through hard work. Another thing that angered Charles was whenever his dad came home he would spend hours doting on him without giving a moment to Harry. Why couldnt they see what he sees, even after he told them over and over that Harry killed Voldemort not him.

Lily was starting to prepare for her New Year Ball the single most important event in the socialites calendar. Since the defeat of Voldermort it was an event of spectacular proportions, undertook to hold the crowds presence riveted to the Potter family.

Potter Nursery:

Here we find Harry in the library reading a book with his muggle nanny Mia Winters, a childhood friend of Lilys. She was named Harry's Godmother since Sirius and Remus were Charles'. Mia, like Charles hated how Lily and James were treating Harry because they believe Harry had no magic. When she was named Harry's godmother, she was ecstatic at first. But then that feeling dimmed when she learned that since Harry was a Squib it would be better to have an attachment to someone like him. Regardless of it all, Mia adored the boy and formed a motherly bond with him. She was reading Village hidden in the shadows with Harry sitting in her lap and Charles sitting next to them on the couch.

Long ago, a young girl went with her mother to pick berries for her father who was hard at work.

But the forest greeted them with a dark, cold silence, the bushes empty.

Yet, determined to find the berries, the rascal broke free from Mother's grasp and vanished into the trees.

Mother's worried cries faded fast as the girl ran on; over vine, and under branch and into the forest deep.

Feeling strange eyes upon her, the girl recalled Mother's scary bedtime tales and her throat became bone dry.

Then the Bat Lord appeared! He greeted her warmly and bit his own wing.
