A/N: Part 2

"OH GOD!" Maya yells out suddenly.

"What? What just happened?? Maya, are you okay?" Carina asks worriedly.

"I can't feel my face!!" Maya groans out in sudden panic.

Carina rolls her eyes at her wife's over dramatics "Maybe weed brownies wasn't a good idea after all" the OB thinks to herself as she pulls up to the In-N-Out drive thru to order her and her wife some food.

Carina enters the apartment with two bags of takeout and a tray of milkshakes in hand. "Maya, I'm home!" She calls out to her wife. With no response, the Italian makes her way to the kitchen hearing the sound of singing in the distance.

"You are my Sunshine....my only sunshine. You make me happppyyyy when skies are grayyyyy!" Maya sings, completely unaware that her wife had come home.

Carina places her purse and the take-out food on the kitchen counter as she takes note that her wife was currently laying down on the kitchen floor singing, with a dish-cloth covering her face. With closer inspection, she sees Maya hugging her phone, which displayed a photo of them together on the screen. "Awwwww" the Italian thinks fondly of her wife, as she remembers the day that the photo was taken.

"You'll never know dear, how much I love you. So please don't take my sunshine awayyyyy" Maya continues on singing, still unaware of her Italian wife's presence.

Carina then makes the move to lift the dish-cloth off from her wife's face. "Ciao, amore mio" [Hello, my love]

"Argh, too bright!!" Maya groans out loud while covering her face with her hands to shield her eyes from the brightness. "Take the sunshine away, take the sunshine away!!"

Carina relents apologetically, and quickly makes the move to grab her sunglasses from inside her purse. "Here bambina, why don't you try these on" the Italian suggests. She places one hand softly on Maya's forearm, gesturing for her wife to remove her hands from her face. Maya slowly does so, but keeps her eyes closed. Carina then places the sunglasses on her wife. "Ecco, molto meglio [There, all better]. You can open your eyes now" the Italian says softly.

Maya opens her eyes, feeling a wave of sudden relief come over her when the bright kitchen lights weren't blinding her anymore. "So much better- thank you" the firefighter lets out appreciatively. The blonde then looks to her wife, only now processing that she had come home. "When did you get home?" Maya wonders.

"Just now" Carina informs her wife for the second time.

Maya once again turns her head, sniffing the air and follows the smell of food. She sits herself up. "I smell food- please tell me you have food. I am starving!" The firefighter groans and looks expectantly to her wife.

Carina laughs at the sight of Maya giving her best impression of a sad puppy-dog face. The firefighter might be wearing sunglasses, but she was sending the Italian hardcore puppy eyes. "Sì, I brought you a variety of burgers, fries and milkshakes" the Italian informs her wife, then makes the move to grab the food off of the counter.

"That literally sounds like heaven" Maya says, moaning at the thought of being able to eat all that food.

"Would you like to eat on the table or-" Carina asks but Maya is quick to interject.

"Floor please- the world is still spinning" Maya pleads.

Carina places the take-out food on the floor by her wife, before sitting on the floor herself. As she sits herself opposite from her wife, Carina watches as Maya is quick to grab the first thing she can get her hands on from inside one of the take-out bags. The Italian laughs as Maya grabs a handful of fries and shoves it in her mouth.
