When It Began

"No one listens to me..." The voice was droned out by the rain that fell outside the window of the small hotel room. There sat a girl. Her face showed almost no expression. She held something in her hand, it glistened against the dim light of the night stand table lamp. Her hair was cut short, it looked raggedly cut as though she had cut it with a knife. It was silver. Her outfit was nothing short of mystical. She wore a cloak; odd inscriptions and markings covered it. The cloak itself was a very dark blue, almost to be mistaken for black. The marks were all silver, like her hair color. Other than the cloak, she wore a black, sleek, long sleeve underneath. Also, a pair of dark skinny jeans and some long black boots. A pair of worn out black gloves lay next to her.

The girl grasped her bare hands together, making fists. Then, she whispered to herself, "And I don't want them to hear me. So I guess that's OK."

Natsu jumped onto the table in the guild hall. "HOW DARE YOU INSULT HER LIKE THAT?!" He roared. Gray was shirtless and looked just as mad as Natsu.

"I DIDN'T ACTUALLY MEAN ANYTHING BY IT!!" He yelled back. Lucy sat nearby, blushing, though she looked as though she was trying to be angry. Urza steps up to the now fighting boys and sighs. Natsu is about to let Gray have a fiery knuckle sandwich when Urza says calmly, "Would you two take a look around you and realize for one moment that everyone is watching you two go at each other. Over a comment about Lucy, no less." Natsu froze, hints of his own blush arising. Now Lucy just held her face in her hands, while the rest of the guild laughed.

Gray sheepishly walks over to Lucy. "Sorry Luce. I really didn't mean anything about it."

She waves her hand furiously in front of her. "NO NO ITS OK REALLY!"

Natsu comes up behind Gray and shoves him aside. Lucy glances up at him, then smiles. "You big fool!" She laughs. The guild hall starts to bustle around as usual again and Natsu sits down next Lucy at the bar. He smiles back.

"Guess I was over reacting huh," he asks. Happy flies up behind him and kicks him in the head with his little foot paw. "You sure did!"

Makarov walks over to Lucy and Natsu and jumps up onto the counter so he could be eye level with the two. Urza and Gray walk over to join them.

"What is it Master?" Urza asks.

"You four..." He starts then furrows his brow like he was in deep thought. "I want you four to go on a special mission for me." Happy exclaims in protest. "Ah yes, so sorry Happy. You five."

"What's so special you called us for, Gramps?" Natsu seems interested, as well as Lucy.

"Read this, its to much for me to just explain." Makarov hands them a flyer. Gray takes it. Natsu tries to snatch it from Gray, but Urza's faster and grabs it first. "HEY!" Gray exclaims.

"Go some where private," whispers Makarov. "Talk to me later about it, okay?" Urza nods and the five friends leave the guild hall to try and find a good place to read the flyer. They, of course, land up at Lucy's apartment.

"Alright," starts Urza once everyone has found a place to sit. "I'll read it aloud for everyone." She glares at Natsu and Gray. "No interruptions!" Both boys stick their tongues out at her. She ignores them.

"The top reads, "WANTED: Danger could very well be their name". This is the caption." She reads on. "After finding multiple signs of distress and spilled blood, we are certain to believe that there is a rogue wizard on the loose and they could be killers. Leaving behind strong signs of magical power, this wizard has been on the run. From no guild, and we have checked, has any wizard left or gone missing at the time of the start of these mishappenings. So that eliminates any guild member from any guild of being a culprit. Though we have no pictures, many eyewitnesses have told reports of a hooded figure leaving these distressed areas. But, what's more valid then any of this information, is that even just the remnants of the magic power left behind when this wizard used his or her power, is stronger then a Dragon Slayer's magic power. And that's only the remnants we could measure. So, please, if you see any hooded figure who looks suspicious, please alert us or try and get a better look at them. We're afraid they could be planning something or be working with a whole group to achieve a larger goal. Thank you,

The Magic Council." Urza took a breath.

"There's more to it then what they're saying, no doubt." Natsu shook his head. "Cause if they were this worried about a shadowy figure, they wouldn't want to much worry from other people. It's from the Magic Council themselves." He threw his hand in the air and waved it in a circle. "The Magic Council must think we're dumb or something."

Gray shook his head no. "They probably did that for a reason, so that if this got slipped to the public it wouldn't scare everybody. They know that we would get it. This is something really serious."

Lucy nodded in agreement. "So I guess we have to figure who they are, and take them down then? I mean, we don't have much to go on."

"True," Urza said. "But maybe if we go talk to Makarov or the Magic council..."

"Yeah, maybe." Gray's shirt had disappeared again.

"Magic that's stronger than a Dragon slayer's magic..." Natsu murmured under his breath, while Lucy yelled at Gray to put his shirt back on and Urza stared at the flyer. "Now what could that mean? And who are they?"
