As the 5 friends were walking back to talk to their Master, a yell could be heard. Natsu lifted his head and stared out, sniffing the air. Urza glanced at Natsu.

"What is it Natsu? What can you smell?" She held her hand at her handle of her sword.

Without responding, Natsu bursted out in speed, running back into the city.

"HEY!" Gray yelled out at him and the four started running after him. But they couldn't catch up. They lost him in a matter of seconds.

****************************************************************A/N Hey Reader so from now on the rest of the story is going to be told from POV's. I think I write better that way, but wanted to start off the story in third person to add in the deep detail. Alright, hope your enjoying and sorry for interrupting your reading. <3 <3 ****************************************************************
Natsu's POV
I ran. I ran and I wasn't going to stop till I found this scent. This smell. This person.

Dodging citizens and street concessions, I manage to pick up on the scent again, this time much stronger than before. I run into an alley. Oh great, I think. Nothing great ever happens in an alley.

"Who are you?!" A frail voice yells out at me from the shadows.

"It depends on if your my enemy or not. If not, I'm a friend. Who are you?" I say back. A young girl runs out in front of me, she could be no more than 10 or 11. She whimpers and I run to her, encircling my arms around her, bring her in for a hug.

"Are you okay kid?" The little girl nods her head. I hear a sigh come from the shadows. Instantly I stand and put the girl behind me.

"Well now. I didn't expect Natsu Dragneel, a Fire Dragon Slayer, to show up. It's so great to finally meet you." A girl, my age I could only guess, emerged from the shadow that hid her and a cloak hid her face. A hand reached out from underneath the flowing black cloak.

"Come now, Kina. Why do you run into this boy's arms?"

The girl, Kina, shrinks back. I step forward, aggressively. "Leave her out of this. Who are you? How do you know me?" I demand.

"Why should I leave her out of this? She's my little sister and she's blind. She has troubles-"

"Verra this man is warm." Kina breaks her sisters sentence. "This man is warm and nice." She sits down and hugs my leg with her legs and arms.

I'm so confused at this point, I want to break into a fury of flames. But I can't. Not with this small child so near.

I can hear the hooded girl, or Verra as Kina called her, sigh once more.
She squats down and opens her arms.

"Kina," she says softly. "Please come over to me. Please, Kina."

Kina nodded her head, hugged my leg tightly then stumbled over to her sisters arms. I'm still standing still, no idea on what to do.

"Uh, Verra was it? What exactly are you doing here? I heard a scream earlier... Then caught onto your scent. You reek of intense magical power, more than some really powerful wizards I know."

She crossed her arms. "I don't have to answer anything you ask, Dragneel." She whisked around so that her back was to me. I take a step towards her, but stop as she picks up Kina. Without turning to look at me, she talks once more.

"By the way, Dragneel, don't call me Verra. I would much rather prefer, the Silver Dragon Slayer." I take a step backward. A dragon slayer... Then, with a blinding flash of light, they were gone.

And now I knew who we were chasing down. The Silver Dragon Slayer.
