Lucy's POV
Screams of horror rang through the otherwise silent guild. A few guild members had run outside, Natsu with them. But I can't move. My eyes are stuck on the small child thats swaying slightly in the small breeze across Magnolia. I don't think I'm breathing, my breath still sucked in from first seeing the girl. I gasp slightly for some air and drop to my knees. My view is cut off so I stare at the ground, but my mind races. Flashes of the girl fill my head already. Her soft expression looked as if she was sleeping, but blood was dripping from her fingers. Her neck already red and raw. I gag, haunching over the wooden guild floor.Regaining my balance, I get up and avert my eyes back towards the bar area, away from the window. I stumble away and sit on a stool, letting my head rest in my arms on the counter. I can't believe it... I just can't.... Oh God why!!
Gray's POV
I ran outside after Natsu. I'm horrified and shaken. I can barely look at her without retching, and I honestly want to cry. Natsu already is. People are rushing to get her down. So why am I not moving?! Move Gray!! Mov-My vision starts to blur. Not like I'm going to faint, more just like my vision just starts to leave me. I bring my hands up, but someone grabs my arm and starts to pull me away. My now quite blurred vision only lets me make out their black silhouette.
"Hey," I shout over the commotion of wizards that I'm now being pulled away from. The black figure looks back at me. I see their hand go up to their face, I think motioning me to be quiet. I scoff and pull away out of their grip.
"Okay, who are you and what's wrong with my vision?!" I cross my arms. They just grab me and pull me farther away, quickly. I rip my arm out of their grip again this time more forcefully. They take a few steps back.
"Please just come with me Gray Fullbuster, I don't have much time to explain. Not here." It's a female's voice, smooth yet chilling.
"What's wrong with my eyes, who are you?!" I demand.
I can hear her sigh with impatience. I hear someone snap their fingers, and suddenly my world is black. My sight fully gone. I try not to panic, but I don't even get the chance before I'm lying on the cold, hard ground. I hear the girl scream, then my mind is blank.
~
When I wake up, my vision is back to my relief. Not so much so, though, is that I find myself in chains in, what I can only assume to be a prison or holding cell. A barred window near the ceiling. Cement walls except for the one barred wall I'm facing. The usual. I try to use my magic, to no avail as I predicted. Magic sealing cuffs.
I sigh, and only then do I realize I have a metal plate covering half of my face. Clasped around my mouth and nose, the metal wrapped around my skull as if forged on my head as they made it. I can breath fine, the mask just makes the breath pushed back against my skin, so I can feel my short and staggered breaths each time I suck in more oxygen. Damn, whoever put me here really does not want me to get out. I can only assume someone literally forged the metal around my head using magic.
I wonder how long I was out for. Glancing at the window I guess it's near midnight or so. Who knows what day it is though.
I let my body relax as well as I can with these cuffs and stuff on me.
"What a day this has been. I'm kinda hoping this is all a bad dream and I'll wake up in a few," I tell myself. I hear a laugh and a light approaches.
It's more than one laugh, it's two. The light is a candle lit lantern, held by a pair of twins I've never seen before in my life. They're identical, except one has a burn scar down his left side of his face, while the other wears glasses. Both have dark skin, one with the exception of a lighter toned skin where the burn scar travels down the left side of his face and neck. He holds the lantern, so I can see the scar clearly on his entire top of his hand too.
"Hey there bud," scar face talks first. His voice crackles and could be described as choppy, high pitched almost. His brother takes the lantern and brings it up to his face and scars'.
That's when I notice the color of their eyes. They're bright blue, and on top of their dark chocolate colored skin, it makes me want to shiver. These two are odd to say the least.
"Gray Fullbuster, the one and only ice mage of Fairy Tail." The brother sounds much different than scar face. His voice is low and some might call it sexy. Almost a full one eighty from his brother's voice.
They smile, one I know too well from others I've met in the past. Those are the smirks of killers itching for blood.
I glare at them, my eyes like icy daggers.
"Ooo~ Look Cog, he's trying to show some of that Fairy Tail courage for us!" Scar face's voice laced in a mocking tone as he squat and pointed at me, head cocked.
"Too bad he's all shackled up, I'd shake his hand." The brother scar face called Cog says this as he twiddles his air, as if to brush through invisible hair in the air. I can feel the metal form and shift around my face as I watch his fingers intertwine with air. I try not to flinch as something sharp starts digging into the back of my neck.
"Oh, oops, did I hit skin?" Cog grins. "My bad," he mocks.
"Yo, Cog, he hasn't said anything yet, why is that?" Scar face cocks his head again, a puzzled face replacing his last. Also, I hadn't noticed until now, but the scar faced one still hasn't broken his gaze at my body. He seems to be in a trance-like state, never looking away from me.
The metal in the back of my neck goes a deeper into my neck and I gasp, the pain worsening. Cog's hands stop moving, releasing the magic tension in the metal. The piece of metal, though, still dug a little ways into the back of my neck. I dare not move my head, so I'm stuck staring straight at the crouching brothers. I can feel the warmth as blood starts trickling down the back of my neck. I make a "tch" sound. This is so stupid, why am I even here?!
"Oh, look he made a sound. Good to know you aren't brain dead, Gray." Cog emphasizes my name as he moves his fingers again, making the chains move forward, towards the twins, dragging me with it. I struggle to keep my head straight as to not let the metal dig deeper. Scar face grabs the now in reach chains, Cog's magic stopping. Yanking me forward, jerking me with them, scar face pulled my face against the barred wall, our faces only a foot away.
The metal wrapping my face stopped me from actually coming in skin contact to the bars. I try and avert my eyes away from the gaze I held with the boy, but my eyes were being pulled towards him, almost in a trance like way.
"The name's Lachrius*, and my magic is special," He raises his hand, and as he does, my vision goes black again. I try and pull away, but he grasps' the metal wrapping my face, yanking me back against the bars. I flinch. That really hurt. I can feel the blood start to fall down my neck again.
I hear his voice speak once more. "I can control people's eye sight~"
