After the war, Hermione Ron and Harry grew distant. Everyone had their own families. Except for Hermione. Being single at 22 has it's advantages and disadvantages. Harry married Ginny, as they all new they would, and had wonderful children, James Sirius Potter their oldest, Albus Severus Potter their second, and finally Lily Luna Potter.
Ronald found Astoria Greengrass at a muggle store in London and they caught up on recent times. A year later Ron proposed to Astoria and they moved to Australia to live happily forever. Now they have two wonderful children, Rose Eleanor Weasley and Scarlett Fiona Weasley.
Hermione never gave her parents their memories back because she thought they were happier without a child in their midst. Without a family and any friends it gets lonely.
One afternoon, Hermione found herself at the last place she would've thought she'd be.
Malfoy manor.
*Draco awoke that morning groggily. Next to him laid a beautiful blonde woman. Unfortunately Draco didn't remember her name. She was just one of his nightly visits.
A knock pulled Draco out of the warm comfort of his bed. "Hey! You! Get out!" Draco screeched at the lady. Within two minutes she was up and out the back door, frightened of Draco.
"Granger!" Draco says astonished as he opens his front door. "What are you doing here?" Hermione gulps nervously and starts to talk.
"Don't flatter yourself Malfoy. Listen, I know I am the last person you probably want here at your house but can I stay here tonight so I can find a place to stay?"
Malfoy was shocked out of his mind. Why was the brightest witch of their age asking him for help? "What happened to Potter and the Weasles?" He asks.
"It's a long story."
"Come in but you owe me some explaining." Hermione shrugs and steps inside of Draco's home. Shivers run down her spine as she remembers the last time she stepped inside of Draco's house. Bellatrix Lestrange tortured her right in front of Draco while he stood and did nothing.
Hermione still had to forgive him for that.
After putting her stuff down inside the entrance, Hermione joined Draco in his living room.
"So what do you want to know?" Hermione asks, sitting closer to Draco than he would like.
"What happened to Potter and the Weasles why aren't you with them?" Hermione shifted uncomfortably. Her eyes meet Draco's gaze and she gets pulled into a trance. Or so she admits. The grey stared back at the brown.
"Well," Hermione started, " they uh, they all have their own families, so uh since I don't we kind of just grew uh, apart." A curl falls in front of Hermione's eyes, and before Draco could stop himself he was pushing it behind her ear. Hermione blushes and smirks.
"Are you sure? Come on Granger, I'm not that thick."
"Yeah and that's why you have different girls at your house every night." Hermione mumbles.
"Hey! That is different!" Draco shrieks. "Wait, how'd you know about that?"
"A couple different ways actually. One, your a typical boy. Two, I saw the woman leave your house. Finally, I am the brightest witch of our age." Draco shrugs unfazed but what had happened. Only a few minutes later Draco shows Hermione around his house.
"Here's the library. I'm guessing you'll be in here a lot?"
"Thank you but I only need somewhere to stay tonight." Hermione states.
"And where will you go tomorrow?" Draco asks Hermione.
'Wow she is beautiful!' Draco thought. 'No! I cannot think like that!' Draco mentally smacks himself for thinking the Mudblood infront of him was even relevantly cute. 'But she's brilliant. She's not a mud blood.'
"I'll find a place to stay. Besides what would you tell your toys when they ask why there's another woman in the house? I'll be leaving tomorrow morning. I don't want to be a burden." Hermione replies.
'He is handsome. Wait! No no! This is not right!' Hermione thought.
"Your not a burden."
"Whatever Malfoy. All I can say right now is thank you." Malfoy gives her a stiff nod then leaves her alone in the library to enjoy the books.

Later at dinner Hermione ate nothing. She insisted on eating somewhere else because she didn't want him wasting his money or food on her, a Mudblood. Draco cursed and made her at least eat something, but she refused. He sighed, knowing she wouldn't give up, being the stubborn muggle born she was.
'Muggle born?' Draco thought to himself, 'since when is she muggle born instead of mu- no don't even think about that word Draco! It is a lame excuse for a label. Whoah, what is happening to me?' Draco asked himself.
"Malfoy? Hello! Anyone home!" Hermione yelled from across the table. Draco looked up to her confused. "You were in mid sentence! You said, "later today I'm going-"" she stopped.
Draco knew why he stopped talking. He was lost in his own little world. "Oh yes, I am going to Diagon Alley to gather some supplies I would need. Would you like to come with me?"
"Do I have a choice?" Hermione chuckled.
"No not really."

Hermione changed into summer clothes, as it was that time of the year. She wore a muggle tank that said "let it go!" and Jean shorts that stopped mid thigh. Converse sneakers finished off the cute outfit. Draco couldn't take his eyes off of Hermione as much as he would hate to admit it. She looked hot, in his opinion. Her hair was half braided half curled. The frizz was gone. 'Thank goodness!' Draco exclaimed to himself. "Well, let's go then." Draco says as he takes Hermione's hand. Instincts kicked in and Hermione let go of his hand immediately. "We have to apparate Granger. Would you like to walk?" Draco asks.
Hermione sighs, shakes her head then links fingers with Draco. She couldn't help but notice how perfectly their hands fit together.
**Once they reached Diagon Alley, Draco noticed Harry Potter with his wife and kids in Flourish and Blotts shop. "Hey Potter!" He says. Hermione quickly pulls on her sunglasses, and Draco grips her hand so she wasn't able to run.
Harry noticed Hermione next to Draco, and immediately pulled his wife and children behind him. Draco was confuzzled at the sudden reaction between the two best friends. He decided he would make Hermione explain when they got home. Something was wrong.
