Things are never quite as scary when you've got a best friend (book 5)

Leon looks at his wedding band on the bus then at Rona's wedding and Engagement ring. "surprised we haven't been robbed yet" Leon comments. Rona giggles "I'll kill anyone who takes my expensive rings". Leon kisses her cheek and hears his phone ring and answers.

"90 percent of the population in tall oaks has been infected with the virus that rounds put tp about 70,000 hostiles we also recieved word that an organization named Neo umbrella just claimed responsibility for the attack" Hunnigan explains.

"neo Umbrella" Leon questions wrapping his arm around Rona's waist. "I know what your thinking" Hunnigan says. "raccoon city all over again" Rona says. "thats all the news I've got now its your turn to help me I need to know whats in that cathedra I've got suits breathing down my neck for info" Hunnigan reveals. "suits" Leon asks.

"specifically Derek c simmons nation security advisor" Hunnigan reveals as Helena looks at the screen with anger. "rona he's been mentioning you mostly like a lot about you" Hunnigan reveals. "what are you saying he got a thing for her" Leon asks. "I don't know but he won't stop talking about her" Hunnigan looks over at him.  The bus jumps hitting a zombie loosing control. They all fall back.

Time skip
Leon wakes up to see Rona and helena knocked out but hears screaming. He slowly gets up to see the cop getting pulled from the roof and the girl grabbed from the window. Then the bus falls back more. Leon slowly sits up as Rona and Helena do the same. "Ah shit" Leon yells starting to shoot.  Rona and Helena start shooting. The Bus falls back more. "were going over" Helena yells. "brace yourselves" leon yells moving back a bit to get to Rona. They all just keep shooting until they hear a noise and a light. "grab hold of something" Leon yells as a track crashes into the bus. Leon grabs hold of rona as the bus flips over.

Time skip
They all wake up and slowly stand. The bus driver holds his hand out and it explodes. Rona screams. "They escape the infection only to die like this" Leon says softly. "there's no time to griece we have to get to the cathdral" helena says softly before walking off. Leon looks back and follows Helena. "you alright" Leon asks. "been better" Rona responds. "Leon rona Helena Are you Okay" Hunnigan asks in concern. "yeah for whatever reason we're still alive" Leon replies. "were cutting through the cemetery to  reach the cathedral" Helena replies.

Time skip
Had to chase a dog around. Oh I miss Winter so much. I hope she's okay she hates it when we leave

Leon puts the key in the keyhole of the graveyard gate. "okay were in" Leon says before opening the door for the girls the hears lightening then a zombie jump Leon falling over the edge. "Leon" Rona and helena yell. "leon are you alright" Helena asks. "well nothing broken anyway good thing too I Kinda doubt you'd be doubling back for me" Leon says over the radio.

Rona hops down. "I Guess I'll meet you two at the cathedral" Helena says. "you ok" Rona asks as they walk through the graveyard shooting any zombie in their way. "are you I mean you got hurt you don't look well" Leon starts to feel her head. "I'll live" Rona replies. "You know I worry about you" Leon strokes her hair. "I know you do" Rona smiles as they see a screaming zombie.

Leon shoots it dead and they walk up the stairs "your a sight for sore eyes" leon comments. "thanks you coming into this cathedral with me or what" helena asks opening a gate. "don't have a choice" Rona says looking at the rain. "i see it hurry" Helena runs to the door banging on it yelling "hello I know someone's in there open up". "are you crazy those things will kill us" A man yells behind the door. "look its just us hurry up and let us in" Leon yells. "Bullshit I will I can hear em out there" The man yells behind the door.

"ok ok we'll get rid of them first" helena yells

time skip
"all right all right get your asses in here" A man yells from inside. "Rona and I are putting on the line trusting you I hope this info of yours is worth it" leon yells. "it is I'll stake my life on it" Helena yells as they head toward the door getting inside. Leon tries to close the door but a zombie is trying to get in. Helena shoots it making it fall back and Leon slams the door shut.

"are you" A man witha  group of people come to them. "sorry guys were not rescue workers" leon reveals. They all move away in disapointment. "there's a secret door by the altar that leads underground but we need to find a way to open it" Helena points to the altar. "You wanna tell us whats down there" leon asks sternly. "its better if I show you both" Helena looks at leon then at the altar. Leon starts to look around.

"Rona" Helena pulls on her arm. "what" Rona asks. "look I Know you don't trust me but I need you and Leon to hear me out" Helena expresses. Rona sighs "fine" Rona starts walking to the altar. Leon's already there staring at it. "There's stairs under this statue It was open the last time I was here shit what do we do" Helena turns back at them. "we'll figure something out lets take a look around" leon reassures. Rona looks at a little statue and picks it up "this isn't just part of the decor" Leon takes it from her handing it to Helena.

"Your right there's more here than meets the eye Lift me up" helena looks at the broken ladder. Leon cups his hands and Helena jumps on top. Leon and Rona walk around a bit to look. Then Helena kicks a ladder down. "come up" Helena orders. "you go I'll stay down here" Rona gulps. "okay don't move" Leon climbs up the stairs. Rona turns around covering her mouth.

A door opens. Rona looks at the door near the altar on her right open when it wasn't before. "now we're getting somewhere" leon says. Rona walks inside alone waiting for Leon and helena. Leon walks in "levers" Leon questions "helena grab the other one" Leon puts his hand on the lever as Helena walks on the other one and they both pull at the same time. metal bars comes down in between them.

A statue comes out. Rona presses a red button making it go back. "helena there's a switch on these Statues that shuts them off" Leon yells to helena. Helena presses the button and both doors open. "this is gonna get a little bit dicey" Leon comments walking over to the lever with Helena and both pulling on levers. "we don't have time for this crap" helena yells. A statue comes out and another. Leon looks at Rona "were going to have some fun"
