"Roses?"
"A dozen of em."
"Just out of the blue?"
"Yeah."
"Morgan?"
"Yep."
Kate blushes as she looks down at her coffee mug, sitting at the small kitchen table. Taylor grins back at her from her spot on the counter.
"He's head over heels in love with you."
"Oh no he's not."
"Kay, Morgan is in love with you. You just gotta open your eyes and let him back into your heart."
"I'm scared to." She admits. "He's changed since high school- I have too. We're not the same, T. What if- what if we don't work out?"
"Then y'all don't work out." She shrugs back. "He's not the only guy, you know."
"He's the only guy for me." She says then stands. "I swear."
Taylor smiles. "I knew it." She squeals. "I knew it!"
She rolls her eyes but smiles. "I still can't believe he sent me roses and violets and daisies."
"Looks like it was a good day for flower shops."

Kate smiles as she sits at the bar, her flowy red dress pooling around thighs, the thin straps contrasting against her tan skin. She makes small talk with the bartender as she waits for her date to join her.
The bartender sets a shot of whiskey in front of her and she knocks it back. Her next one has her feeling relaxed.
"You look too beautiful to be settin' by yourself."
Kate turns and her face lights up. "Hey!" She laughs, wrapping her arms around Morgan. He laughs back, sitting next to her. He orders a drink, his hand resting on her back. "Man, it's nice bein' out again."
Morgan takes a swallow of his drink then looks him over. "You are so beautiful." She rolls her eyes and blushes. "Wow."
"You're so cheesy." She playfully pushes his head. "Thanks for goin' out with me."
"Thanks for invitin' me." He grins back, looking her over again. She feels so comfortable around him.
"Let's dance!" Kate smiles, grabbing his hand. She pulls him out to the small designated dancing area in front of the stage.

Kate groans, running her fingers through her hair as she looks over some paperwork. It's some shit for Riley's album and she's so not interested in it at all. Her glasses slide down her nose and she huffs in annoyance.
Everything around her is annoying her.
She tosses her glasses down on her desk then stands, pacing around her office.
There's a knock on the door.
"Yeah."
"Flowers for Miss Katie Hurst." Morgan says, a bouquet of hydrangeas in his hand and a shit eating grin on his face.
"Well, I'll be." She says in a sweet southern voice, leaning back against her desk, watching him shut the door behind him.
He licks his lips as he sets the flowers down next to her, his hands going behind her on the desk. She leans back, her head lulling to the side when he starts kissing her neck softly.
