Tw// Mentions of overdose

"Hey man you okay?" Sapnap knocked on the bathroom door.

The door swung open. A droopy eyed Dream opened it. His face red and body weak.

"I'm fine" he huffed.

Sapnap stood in front of the doorway "It sounded like you just threw up. Are you sure you're okay?"

Dream pushed past him "Food poisoning" He mumbled "I'm fine"

Sapnap watched as his best friend walked away.

He had a feeling on what had really happened that day, but never brought it up.

-

"God I'm so stupid" Sapnap buried his head in his hands "How could they not stop that?!" His voice growing louder "He should be getting better there! We need to get him out of that place now!"

George placed a hand on his shoulder "Sapnap he's okay now, there's nothing we could've done" his voice soft.

Sapnap jerked away "No! There is!" Hot tears started to run down his face "This happened once a while back and I didn't do anything! He never admitted it, but I knew" he ran his fingers through his sweaty hair "I knew and I did nothing"

George bit his bottom lip. He remembered back on a conversation him and Dream had a few months ago

-flashback-

George held both his hands in Dreams now "You went through the same thing right?" George paused "That's why you know how I feel"

Dream paused, but continued to rub George's hands "Yes, I did"

-end of flashback-

"Sapnap you couldn't have predicted that would happen" He walked over to him slowly "You know that right?"

Sapnap wiped his eyes "I just want him to be okay"

"I know, I do too" George sighed.

Mumza had called them earlier that day to tell them what had happened with Dream. She explained how he'd be kept under more intense surveillance over the next few weeks, and they were free to visit in a few days if they'd like.

Things had just been so intense and crazy lately.

The teens just wanted a break.

-

A few weeks had passed, Dream had been doing okay during the time.

He knew he needed to get better, and this time he wanted it.

He worked more often with Shubble and reached out more when he needed it.

After almost losing his life, he realized how much he wanted to live.

To wake up everyday and be able to say "I did it"

To hear his best friends voice and laugh with them for hours.

To see his beautiful boyfriend George, to hear his sweet honey like voice.

Dream wanted it all.

And this time he was going to get it.
