We run to my house and grabbed my stuff and then went back to Kirstie's. I had my pj's and a brush and a different shirt for tomorrow. "Excuse me..." I say and walk to the bathroom to get changed. She goes into her room and changes. We finish at the same time and open the doors in unison. She startles me and I startle her. We both laugh and say "Sorry. Jinx!" At the same time. I laugh and look down and my black t-shirt and red plaid pajama pants. "You can sleep on the couch..... or you can sleep with me." She smiles and looks down shyly. "Whatever will be warmer." I say. "My bed would probably be warmer..." She giggles. We walk to her bedroom and she points to the right side. "That's the side you'll sleep on. If you don't mind." She looks at me and shrugs. I nod and walk to the right side of the bed. She climbs into the left side and I climb into the right.
We are on are phones until she says "We should probably go to bed." She yawns and rolls over the opposite way of me. I shut my phone off and roll the same way as Kirstie. As soon as I do, I fall fast asleep.
I awaken to the sound of snoring and realize someone is laying on my chest. I open my eyes to see Kirstie laying her head on my chest with her hand under her head. She was the one who's snoring. I smile and stroke her hair gently so she doesn't know. She moves and I quickly pull my hand away. She rolls over and sighs. I sigh too. Good thing she didn't notice.
(Kirstie's POV)
I wake up a little and realized I'm laying on Mitch's chest and he's stroking my hair. Oh, no! What do I do! Just make a subtle move and pretend your still asleep. I move away and roll over to the other side and sigh. I think he still thinks I'm asleep.
I fall back asleep and wake up to my alarm. A loud, high pitch beeping. Crap, I forgot to turn my alarm off.
I quickly turn it off before it wakes Mitch. But I turn around to see him already awake. "Did my alarm wake you up?" I mumble. He shakes his head and smiles.
" Were you awake last night? Something.....happened." he says.
