You Can See Me?

So, I have no idea why my family up and moved from Amity Park to a place called Porkbelly. They just said something about ghosts.

I was unpacking my things when the doorbell rang. I spied from my place upstairs on the newcomers.

"Hi, we're the Tests," the father said, "You're new neighbors!"

Mr. Test shoved a loaf of meatloaf into my father's hands. My parents, trying to make a good first impression, invited the family inside.

There was Mr. Test, Mrs. Test, two girls that looked almost identical, and a boy. The girls stayed with the parents and my sister, but the boy was sent upstairs.

I went back to my room and pretended I was unpacking the whole time.

The boy entered the room, "You must be Danny Fenton,"

"Yup," I said, "Who are you?"

"Johnny Test," Johnny posed heroically. I snorted a laugh. That kid was full of energy.

We talked for a bit, Johnny laying on my bed as I unpacked. We got to know each other pretty well. Mainly that he's been through more experiments then I had. And I had only gone through one once. Never again.

"So what's your story?" Johnny asked.

"What do you mean?" I said, putting some clothes in my new closet.

"Dude, every time you lift your arms, I can see some scars on your back," Johnny deadpanned.

I self consciously pulled my shirt down.

Johnny and his family left an hour later. I was left to my own devices. So I decided to do the logical thing and explore the town.

Except in my way.

After a flash of white light, I was no longer Danny Fenton.

I was Danny Phantom.

I silently flew out my open window and into the sky, invisible of course. Can't have my parents suspecting something if they moved here WITH the "ghost boy".

Porkbelly wasn't a very big town. I was done in fifteen minutes.

But before I went home, I saw Johnny ride by on a bike, but it looked teched out. Huh. He wasn't kidding when he said he was a test monkey.

I decided to follow because I was bored and why not.

Johnny made a few laps around Porkbelly before going back to his house. I followed him inside like a ghost would do if they were haunting a person.

I followed Johnny all the way up to the attic. Where there was a giant lab.

How the heck did they get a LAB in their ATTIC?! But, to be fair, we're remodeling our basement to be a lab so...

"So how was it?" the redhead with the moon hair clip asked.

"Awesome!" Johnny said, "But did you guys spy on me?"

"No, why?" the on with the star hair clip asked.

"I just felt like I was... being watched," Johnny said. I could've sworn he looked right at me for a second. Nah, couldn't've. Right?

"Stop having paranoia," Star clip said. Johnny left the lab and went to the living room to play video games. I decided to watch for a bit because my parents never actually let me get a game system.

At some point, Johnny abruptly paused his game. I looked over to him to see his eyes were shocked, looking in my direction.

They were also glowing neon yellow.

"W-who are you?!" Johnny asked, backing up from where I sat beside him on the couch.

I got up, "Wait, you can see me?"

Johnny nodded slowly. How could he see me? I was invisible...

"Who are you?" Johnny repeated, holding his gaming remote out like a sword.

"P-phantom," I said, holding up my hands to signal I had no hostile intent, "But you shouldn't be able to see me,"

"What are you doing in my house?" Johnny asked, still holding the remote.

"Johnny! Who are you talking to?" a dog walked in asking. Wow. Johnny wasn't lying when he said his dog could actually TALK.

"Can't you see him?!" Johnny asked, waving the remote in my direction.

"I can't see the imaginary person," the dog (I think Johnny said his name was Dukey?) said.

"He's right there!" Johnny said, "Look!"

"What are you yelling about?!" Johnny's sisters joined the three of us.

"Can't you see him?" Johnny asked.

"See who?" moon hair clip asked.

"HE'S RIGHT THERE!" Johnny yelled in frustration.

"Dude, I think you're the only one who can see me," I said.

"Well, can't you do something to make them believe me?" Johnny asked, getting weird looks from his sisters and dog.

I shrugged and picked up the stray controller that was on the couch, earning shocked looks from Johnny's sisters and dog.

"See! I'm not crazy!" Johnny cheered.

"How are you doing that?" Moon hair clip asked.

"It said its name was Phantom," Johnny said.

"Ghost!" Dukey cried, running out of the room.

"Can you ask it what it is?" Star hair clip asked.

"Your dog's half right," I said, "I'm a half-ghost,"

"What the frig is a half-ghost?" Johnny asked.

"I'll let you figure that out," I smirked, phasing though the wall and zooming away.

I circled back to my room and changed back into Fenton.

What was with Johnny? He shouldn't have been able to see me... And those eyes?

Questions filled my head, but they lulled me to sleep.

I'd have to check out Johnny tomorrow.

A/N: So, if you couldn't tell, I'm bad at starting stories. I just knew kinda what I wanted to do. I hope it wasn't too cringy!
