RIN CHOI
"Where are we going?" I protested to Sakura; my voice edged with frustration as she tugged at my arm.
"Just follow me—" She pulled me away from where I was standing, her grip firm and determined.
"Do this blindfold—" My words were cut off as she abruptly let go of my hand. "Sakura!"
I instinctively removed the blindfold, darkness enveloping me. Panic bubbled up as I strained my eyes to make sense of the shadows around me.
Where am I?
My heart almost leaped out of my chest when the lights slowly illuminated the hallway, starting from the second floor and cascading down to the chandelier in the grand foyer.
My breath caught as I saw Keyon walking towards me, his steps purposeful and his smile radiant.
What is he doing here at my house?
I pushed the question aside, my gaze locked on his face, which was lit with an expression of pure joy.
He stopped in front of me, his smile broadening as he dropped to one knee, looking up at me with eyes full of love. "Rin, I won't make this any longer..." He opened a small velvet box, revealing a sparkling ring. "Will you marry me?"
My eyes filled with tears of happiness, and I nodded vigorously. "Yes, yes. I will..."
Keyon slipped the ring onto my finger and pulled me into a tight embrace. "I love you so much..."
Sakura and Noel approached us, holding hands, their faces were aglow with happiness and mischief. "Wait, what's with the hands, huh?" I asked, curiosity piqued.
"Four years from now..." Noel smirked, "There was us..."
Keyon playfully slapped his shoulder. "Fuck you, why didn't you tell me?"
"Who said you needed to know?" Noel chuckled. "Just kidding..."
"So, let's go and—"
My phone rang, interrupting the moment. "Hello, Kairi?"
"Rin, I'm outside your house. Please, open the door," she pleaded, her voice trembling with fear.
"Alright, alright..." I hung up and rushed to the door. I opened it swiftly, not knowing how she managed to get here after only visiting once two months ago.
"Arin, close it too!" Kairi darted inside. "Please!"
I shut the door quickly, concern etching my features. "What happened to you?"
"Kei, Kei is looking for me. Don't tell him I'm here..." She collapsed onto the floor, panting.
"What? Why is he looking for you?" I asked, bewildered.
"He saw me... with Ryu," she confessed, her eyes wide.
"With Ryu? He's back?" I furrowed my brows in disbelief.
"Yes, he's here..." She nodded, tears spilling over. "I saw him, touched him, hugged him—"
"Kairi, I'm so happy for you..." I knelt beside her and hugged her tightly.
"Rin Choi, open the door!" Kei's voice boomed as he pounded on the door.
I sprang up and pushed Kairi towards the stairs. "Run now, go, Kairi..."
