shot day

Zak's pov

"Hey Jay?" I ask waking into our shared office. "Hey girls. Yea Zak?" He greeted / asked " I'm gonna sign it ok?" I ask and he nodded I signed 'Shot day can you help' he nodded getting up taking Aurora's hand. We went into an exam room and I locked it behind me. Jay and I both have keys. Jay picked up Aurora and laid her on the bed. I put some toys on the portable baby mat and sat Laura on it. I unlocked the door and went to the lab and grabbed 3 tubes, an alcohol wipe, a blood draw needle, tape, gauze and a band. And went back to the room "hey honey are you ready?" I ask she looks at me confused "you need to get a bit of blood drawn princess" I said sympathetically "no" she cries  I pick her up and held her for a bit. I laid her down "Jay can you please have Billy come help?" I ask he nodded coming back with Billy "ok Jay hold her free arm and use one hand to block her view. Billy grab her waist" I explained to them and they nod doing so. I brought the tray over and tied the band around her arm. She immediately cries out of fear.  "Hey sweetheart you're gonna be fine I promise. I say sympathetically opening the alcohol wipe and cleaned off her arm "daddy please don't do it I promise I'll be good I'm sorry I was bad" she sobbed and my heart ached "aww baby you weren't a bad girl or anything I just want to make sure you are healthy that's all" I explained sympathetically. "O ok " she cried "deep breath in" I instructed and she followed and I quickly poke it in. "OWW" She screamed crying her eyes out trying to get away "all done" I say taking the band off. I put gauze over it painlessly taking it out. Putting tape over the gauze. They let go and I picked her up "daddy" she cried "I know pumpkin" I said sympathetically rocking her back and forth she calms down and I picked up Laura and laid her on the table "Jay can you hold her hands please ?" I ask and he nodded. Billy and I grabbed a leg each and wiped it down and "sorry lovey" I say as we did the first two and she wails out of pain. Billy did the last one and she screamed loudly. We put Band-Aids and I picked her up "she clung onto me. She kept crying for a good 25 minutes till she finally fell asleep.
