"Kim Namjoon"
------------------

Seokjin wasted no time whatsoever.

Once they've arrived at the man's room he immediately sat down on the bed, dragged the man with him, and start to bombard him with questions. But of course, he first asked the most important one - in his opinion at least.

"What's your name?"

The man looked away. "I don't see the point as to why I should tell you that. I mean, I'm already dead. No use of knowing my name.." he shrugged.

What? Dead?

"Just tell me!" Seokjin exclaimed, his eyes begging the man to just tell him everything!

The man sighed and smiled at him with a sad, nostalgic look. "So stubborn," he chuckles. "My name is Kim Joong Hoon."

(A/N: He's still Namjoon just hang in there a bit guys <3)

"Joong Hoon?"

"Yes. I did tell you that knowing that fact would be quite useless since I've already passed."

"Yes, that is my next question. What do you mean dead? Are you a ghost haunting my dreams?"

The man laughs at what he said, he pats Seokjin's hand carefully. "Yes and no. I'm already dead, yes. I died back in the Joseon era-" he paused and gulped. "-shortly after you did... B-but I'm no ghost. I'm only reappearing in your dreams as a spirit, for I made a promise to you at your grave that the next time I would see you, I would shower you with so much love to make up for the times I didn't appreciate your presence."

He smiled sadly. Joong Hoon looked like he was still grieving someone's death, ready to burst into tears at any moment. Luckily he sighed it out, and his pitifully sad face morphed back into a smile. A weak one, but still a smile.

Meanwhile, Seokjin was honestly lost at what Joong Hoon was saying. None of it completely made logical sense to him.

"What do you mean?" He questions, looking so confused. The man's smile faltered into another dazed sad expression. Yet this one looked worse than the last.

"I know you don't know, since after all, you're just a reincarnation of Seong-Jin, but during my time, we were betrothed. Engaged, to be simply put. But," he paused and took a shaky breath. "We never got the chance to get married, since... I often prolonged the date."

"We were engaged?! Like, about to get married sort of engaged?!" Seokjin flushed pink. Joong Hoon smiles slightly and nods.

"Indeed. You were the eldest son of a rich officer in Joseon. He wanted you to marry a high-ranked man so he sent you off to live in the palace so that you can choose who to marry on your own. Quite a scandalous choice to be made by your father if I'm being honest."

Seokjin thought about all these new information. "So," he says carefully. "I chose you..?" The man nods and laughs lightly. "Don't try asking me why. Even I don't know why you chose me to marry you back then. You were way above me and I was not that high of a rank anybody would be proud to marry. You have quite the unusual and stubborn head back in your past life-" Seokjin pouts, "-which just adds to your charms," He sighed again and stared longingly at the floor.

"You were the sweetest thing; you smiled all the time, you stuck to me a lot like paste, and you took care of me when I did little of return to you. I don't deserve being betrothed with you, Seong-Jin.."
