"We've had prank calls,we've had reports of skeleton mask copy cats all weekend."He said leaning back in his chair before a deputy knocked on the door entering.

"We got a call from the hospital,lady sounded pretty shook up."He glanced between us and stood up pulling his jacket on.

"Do either of you know if my daughter is still there?"We froze and looked at each other.

"I think she said something about going home."He gave us a suspicious look then nodded.

"Alright thanks."We looked at each other again then I sighed.

"We should not be this close to the police station in a stolen ambulance."Simon said.

"That's the whole point were hiding in plain sight."Kate said as she sat inside the ambulance beside me surprisingly but I didn't pay her any attention I just had my head in my hands.

I feel like I had a fair fucking reason to be upset considering my best friend was just stabbed in front of me.

"Yeah just like Bundy."I slowly looked up at Josh in  confusion.

"What the actual fuck are you talking about?" I asked quietly and annoyed and he stammered.

"Ted Bundy,I mean when he was stalking his victims."He glanced between all of us awkwardly.

"Didn't he get caught?"

"Well no. But yeah well-."He said but I interrupted laughing and I threw my hands up.

"Are you fucking serious?!? I mean like are you fucking serious right now? Jesus I'm sorry but-Am I the only fucking one here stressing that the dude that just tried to kill us and may I remind you did kill Peter was shot last night? Like dead...and now he's not?!" I asked and they all stayed quiet.

"Well they thought Zodiac died-"Josh went to say but I sighed loudly and laid on my back on the floor of the ambulance.

"Actually yknow what Nevermind-forget I fucking asked." I spoke cutting him off and Simon followed after.

"I'm gonna go take a leak. Josh come keep watch,make sure no skull mask psycho pops up." When they were gone a heavy silence followed and sighed before I leant up. I faced her as I rested my head against the wall of the ambulance.

"So how are you and m...? Oh shit I forgot the other person..lemme see...Dylan! How's things with you and Dylan?" I asked calmly and she sighed.

"Shit here we go." She said and I shrugged.

"What? I'm not allowed to check in on you? I mean yknow I'm interested to see who your rebounds are after me." I teased and she laughed and smirked in annoyance.

"Ex? Wow. Funny you say ex because I don't remember us ever being official. According to you we were "no strings attached" and the way you would drop my hand in public and act like you were a stranger yeah actions speak volumes Valerie. You were too embarrassed of a shadysider to even admit to knowing me-so calling me your ex yeah not very fitting. I was just some booty call to you Val." She said and my eyes never left her as they frantically searched her.

I desperately wanted to tell her the truth but my throat felt dry and my jaw was clenched and my attention was snapped to reality as sirens rang out and blue lights flashed right next to us. I ducked down immediately seeing my dad's patrol car speed out of the parking lot.
