•••PROLOGUE•••

Jeongyeon's pov

"I am in this state on a student visa. When it expires, I will have to ask to renew it and I don't know how long I will have to wait!" I complained as usual to my three Japanese-American friends.

"Jeongyeon, we know it. That's why I found a solution" Sana told me, smiling at me.
"You have a lot of money, right?"

I nodded, waiting for her to continue.

"I found someone who needs money and who has American citizenship. You can finally get your green card!" my lovely friend told me.

"Really? Is it a boy or a girl?" I asked curiously.

"A girl. She's Korean too, like you. We met her in that club where we meet up with our other Japanese friends" Momo said finally speaking.

"Is she pretty?" I asked.

"Pretty? Definitely" Sana said.

"Can I meet her?" I asked.

The three looked at each other, then Sana turned to me and nodded.

"Tonight we will go to that club. If you come with us, we will let you meet and you will decide what to do together" Mina told me.

The girls and I then started talking about the university and the job Mina had started some time ago.

That night I decided to dress nice enough to meet the Japanese girls' friend. I wore a white shirt and a black skirt. I received a message, through which Sana told me they had arrived. I got out and got into their car.

"Mina and Momo?"

"They're already there" Sana told me.
"Excited?"

"I don't know. What type is she?"

"Oh... You'll find out"

"You didn't even tell me her name"

"You didn't ask!" Sana replied.

"So? What's her name?"

"Save the questions for yourself. Otherwise what are you going to tell each other?"

Sana continued driving and we spent the journey in silence. I tried to imagine what type she might be. If she were friends with the Japanese, she was certainly a good person. Sana parked and we got out. We went inside and greeted Mina and Momo, who were at the table with other people.

"She's at that table" Sana told me, pointing to a lonely girl at a table, busy with her phone.

I walked over to the table and sat down in front of her.

"Are you friends with Sana, Momo and Mina?" I asked her.

She looked up and studied me thoroughly.

"Look, I hate having to marry a girl. Most of all, I hate having to marry someone like you. You need citizenship, I need money. Let's hurry up"

What arrogance.

"You don't have to marry me. There are a lot of perverted old men who would marry you" I told her with a grin.

"That's gross. Do you know what I'm supposed to do to get their money?" she asked in disgust.

"Then don't complain, princess. Pleased to meet you, Yoo Jeongyeon" I said, holding out my hand.

The girl looked at my hand and snorted.

"Im Nayeon" she said returning the squeeze.

"Sana didn't tell me my future wife was going to be a witch" I told her with a grin, putting an end to the squeeze.

"Sana didn't tell me my future wife was so unattractive" she told me with another grin.

"Can I get some information on the person I'm marrying?"

She snorted.

"Im Nayeon, Korean from Seoul but I have lived here in America for ten years now. Twenty-six years old, born on September 22, 1995. Straight"

"Yoo Jeongyeon, Korean from Suwon-si. I have two older sisters still in Korea and my father has a chain of restaurants, so my family is wealthy. 25 years old, born on November 1, 1996. Straight is not in my vocabulary"

"I had to imagine you weren't straight. You probably decided to marry me despite my hatred for you because you like what you see"

Too narcissistic.

"You're wrong, it's just that I need citizenship and you're the only hope at the moment"

"Good. They'll probably call you for some papers or I don't know. Let me know if I need it too" she said hatefully, getting up.

"Not so fast, Miss Im" I told her, holding her by the wrist.

She raised an eyebrow at me and she quickly freed herself from my grip.

"What do you want, nullity?" she asked me.

"I think we should make a list of rules before proceeding" I told her looking at her seriously.

She snorted and took some papers from her purse and some pens. She gave me a paper and a pen and sat down again. We began to write down our limitations and after about ten minutes I put down the pen. I waited a couple of minutes and she did the same.

"Good. Give me your paper" she said, snatching it from my hand.

I took it from the table and began to read it:
"Then
•no physical contact;
I totally agree.
•everyone is free to have relationships;
Certain.
•we will live independently;
Mh mh.
•do not dare to touch me;
You already wrote that but it's okay.
•when I need money, you will give it to me;
As you like.
•even if we get divorced, you will continue to pass me money.
It can be done"

Nayeon then started reading mine:
"Let's see what ideas this idiot has.
•I will decide how much to give you;
I already disagree"

"I'm sorry, you can't ask me for 10,000 dollars and think I'll give them to you"

"Mh...
•you will present yourself to others as my wife;
As long as you are happy...
•we will live in the same house;
Forget it"

"Princess Im, who tells me you won't scam me? I have to make sure my money is safe"

"And who says to me that you are not a maniac!?
•we will divorce simply and solely when I have obtained all the privileges of citizenship.
Arasseo"

I took my pen and signed her paper. She did the same with mine. We exchanged them. Nayeon stood up without even saying goodbye and I saw that she went to flirt with the bartender.

I see this as a very long and difficult adventure.
