Chapter 3, small talks and beach walks.
"You did what!" I exclaimin a high pitched tone, he chuckles at my reaction and nods his head.
"All over his bed" he repeats laughing uncontrollably.
"Oh my god" I laugh loudly as we lay down I'm a giggly mess on the sand.
For the past 15 minutes or so Josh has been explaining him and his brothers pranks. Most importantly the one that got me snorting with laughter, while Isaac was drunk they put whipped cream all over on his bed. Isaac (the youngest) passed out on all the cream so Josh decided it would be funny to put even more cream on top of him. He showed photos and everything.
"What did he do when he woke up?" I ask, calming down.
"Got very mad" he chuckles and I laugh.
"But you're all close though?" I ask, he's been telling me so many stories about then pranking each other it's been hard to see the brotherly love.
"Yes yes of course, we're a very tight knit family" he smiles and looking out to the sea.
We've been out of hours, even though we've probably missed dinner we didn't care. We played in the water and walked along the beach but as it started to go dark we sat down and talked.
"Must be nice" I smile and watch the waves silently roll up to shore and back.
"It's not all great, we argue and sometimes I wish they weren't there" he sighs.
"I don't care, I wish I had someone to talk to" I smile and look down, my hair curtains my face and he pulls it back behind my ear.
"You can talk to me" he offers with a soft smile.
"Thanks" I smile back and look up again at the sea.
We sit in silence for a bit until Josh clears his throat. He stands up quickly as if full of energy.
"We missed out on dinner right?" he says with a wide smile, his dark brown hair blows in the starting wind.
I hug my arms from the new chill and nod my head "Probably"
"So lets go get dinner!" he reaches out his hand, I gladly take it and hop to my feet.
"I don't have any money though" I moan as we begin to walk up to the sidewalk.
He laughs at my response "I'll pay for you silly"
I try to moan more and tell him I'm not hungry, even though I could eat a elephant right now. Not sure it would taste good but I'd still eat it. Half way through of protesting my stomach tries to defend me by having a grumble session, which makes Josh win and we go in search of a place still open.
"How about Pizza?" He asks as we walk down the streets.
"Perfect" I smile, the stars lite up the sky as we walked down an empty road.
"The pizza shop is 5 minutes away from the main shops" he points out as we continue to walk.
It's silent again.
"It's been really nice hanging out with you, Josh" I attend to break the ice.
"You too Jen" he smiles and his hand grabs hold of mine.
"What are you doing?" I ask and snatch my hand away.
His face turns bright red in response and he stops in his tracks.
"Sorry I just thou-" he begins but I interrupt him hastily.
"No I don't mean I didn't like it-" he immediately perks up "But I just met you and stuff"
Tension immediately starts thickening as he mumbles a reply.
"Yeah I get it, it's just that-"
Josh continues to ramble on about how attractive I am and how he thought we could hang out more and see what happens.
"I just thought I should hold your hand too see how things progressed" he finishes.
"Progressed? What else did you expect me to do with you tonight" I frown, obviously Josh was getting the wrong impersonation of me.
"I don't know, all girls are different" he smirks and lays his hand on my waist, bringing me closer.
"Well I'm not that kind of girl" I spit back and push him away.
"Sorry I'm just saying my thoughts, I have no filter" he mumbles and excuse, trying to play off his rejection.
"Maybe we should walk back" I clutch my arms nervously, Josh was kind of scaring me.
"What about the pizza?" He moans and points to the shop a couple meters away.
"Feel free to treat yourself but I'm walking home" I reply and walk in the opposite direction, not waiting for his reply.
He shouts my name a couple of times but I don't bother to turn back, I can't believe I wasted my time on his loser.
A loser who thinks so little of women.
Not my kind of guy.
-
OHHHH noooo, Josh is kind of a d-bag.
I know.
But don't worry because he will become much more nicer and caring later on.- Until next time lovelies :) xoxox
