Blip was scared.
He didn't mean to run into those 2 men(gang members but at the time he didn't know)he was just excited about seeing a cat run by that he wasn't watching where he was going. He also didn't know why they decided that he was a good option to start chasing. They shouted a few profanities his way as he turned another alley but, even though he was pretty fast they were gaining on him. He felt a few tears spring into his purple eyes as they got closer. As he turned another alley he felt himself collide with someone as he shut his eyes. He felt someone snatch his wrist as he was about to fall. As he opened his eyes to see who grabbed him he was met with a woman scowling at him.
"hey! watch where you're going!" the woman barked out at him
that caused Blip to recoil and was about to pull away when he heard another shout from the men that chased him. He made a split decision as he hide behind the woman as they turned the corner. She looked down in confusion at him hugging her waist, she looked up at the thugs seeming to realize something. Her scowl deepened but, not at blip this time.
"hey lady! could you give us the kid? we need to teach him a lesson" one of men called out
Blip let out a small whimper at the sound of that, this caused her face to soften for a moment before hardening back to the scowl.
"I have a counter-offer, how about you leave right now and I won't make the last few hours of your life pure agony" she seemed to almost growl as she said this.
that caused them to recoil and, believing her threat, slowly backed out of the alley. as they left, her face fell back to the normal expression she looked down at blip again with a bit of tenderness in her eyes.
"hey kid you have a name?"she said softly,trying not to scare him anymore
Blip nodded yes to the question and she understood quickly.
"kid, im judging from your lack of good clothes that you don't have a home do ya?"she questioned
Blip shook his head no, causing her to sigh.
"you want to come with me?" she asked
that caused blip to look at her with confusion but with the spark of joy in his eyes she guessed that was a yes.
she offered her hand to him and he took it then, she lead him out of the alley.
at the moment blip felt many things but, most importantly,
he felt safe.
