Peter begrudgingly pushed himself to turn back around and return to the room where the two hero's sat waiting for his return. He had to admit it to himself. It was nice getting the chance to speak to other people outside of this house. Friends were  scarce and rare to stumble upon, and those who made an attempt slowly back off after a combination of Flahs and his goons, along with Peters own inadequate attention to social cues. Apparently being able to pick up on danger and when someone was trying to make light conversation were two totally different cues to pick up on.

Peter joked and had sarcasm to spare, but sometimes, even with the amount of knowledge and time spent as a vigilante accumulated, didn't prepare him to pick up on when someone was trying to joke. Sometimes taking what was meant to be funny light hearted, came across as a serious conversation that leads him into explaining the science or logic behind it. Not realizing the social interaction he misinterpreted until after they've lost interest. Declaring him not friend material.

But Peter pushed forward, convincing himself that it would be fine and even for the best. It's easier to protect a secrete identity when there's no one to get close to. It's easier to protect loved ones when they're isn't any to protect. So for now, Peter didn't mind as much.

So sue him for actually enjoying a conversation where he could discuss various topics that interested him. Especially with people that genuinely seemed interested to listen to him. Something that didn't come by often. It felt nice to be listened to and conversed with as Peter Parker. Because when he was Spider-Man he was always heard when he spoke because his alter ego had the respect of many and was fear by many others. Peter Parker didn't command that kinda reaction from other, which quite frankly was okay with Peter. It wasn't bad, but sometimes he'd think about when aunt May was still around and uncle Ben. Even when he had his parents back when he was a child. Things were marginally different than compared to what they were now. Being friendless wasn't so bad because he had his family to come home to. Being along wasn't the same because he wasn't truly alone. He doesn't even have someone to protect like he used to. Everything was both falling apart and coming to a standstill for him.

Where he goes he's not sure on that. How he should proceed into the future at this given moment. He protects his identity to keep villains and criminals from hunting down Peter Parker for grievances. Those can be handled in the dead of night during his office hours.

So yes. He really enjoyed speaking to Tony and Steve. Even if his nerves had been on fire the first part out of suspicion and uncertainty, regardless of what his spidey senses never really saying he was in danger at any given time.

He knew if his identity was revealed, the Avengers wouldn't beat up a teenager without being provoked to ensure their own safety and those around them. He'd been around long enough to see that. And witness many of their heroic debuts over the television and even some in New York. Nick Fury wasn't even a horrible guy, it tended to be the organization he works for and those who reside within it.

But this doesn't mean he just willingly throws his identity to their feet with a 'please don't make me stop being a vigilante' type bullshit. Nope. He wouldn't.

He sighed loudly to himself wondering how his thoughts went from being upset to see the other two move on from him so soon. To thinking about his identity.

He walked up to the door leading into the room where the two sat by idly making small chitchat that he didn't focus on. Completely out of it on his own side to even considering listening in to what they were saying. Knocking lightly on the door to catch their attention and giving them a small smile.

"Sorry. But I'm going to have to cut our chat short. I forgot I had some.. errands to run that are pretty important and can't wait. I do wish you guys the best of luck. It was nice getting the chance to speak with you" Peter gave them a small smile and rocked back and forth on his feet slightly to sedate his nerves and keep his focus on the two right before him.
