Carl finally brought a new car and this was an advantage for me. From now on, i dont need to to ride on buses with full of familiar faces. Honestly, it was so tiring to put on a headset & pretend you can't hear any of their whispers. But behind this luck, i am confused. Last week, he got the latest iphone model in it's first launched. Sure as hell, it's expensive. And just yesterday, he bought an Audi car?! Seriously, this is something...

I shooked my head in attempt to vanish the wrong thoughts in my mind. I know every story of my friends as much as they know about me. Carl, he had a divorced parents and he lived now with his mother, who was once a successful business woman & one of the well-known person in town by that time. But sad to say, she's a well-known gamble-sucker now. His Father was a retired Commisioner who never tried to check on him since the day he broke up with his Mom. Carl must been so sad & feeling neglected just like me. But when it comes to financial support, both of his parents never failed. But i can never forget that day he told us how deep his hatred toward his father that he never dared to touch even the single cent of his allowance as much as possible. So those things he bought and the obvious changes i could notice on him was bothering me. There's somethinh i just can't point out.

Johanna tapped me suddenly in my arm. "Hey, Daydreaming?!"

"Eh...im just thinking about..." I started facing Carl in response.

I caught him off guard unexpectedly. So there's something.

"Wha-what?..." He stuttered but i never turn my eyes away. I want him to reveal the truth. We're friends and we promised to never kept secrets from each other.

Johanna and Charlie look at us in question. "What's going on?" They asked in unison.

I sighed and shooked my head. "Well, im quite lucky i got a peanut-sized brain to notice that Carl seem so different these days"

Johanna and Charlie doesn't looked surprise. Maybe they're feeling the same way.

" I also noticed..." Johanna admitted.

Charlie shooked his head in approval."Same here..."

So am so right, all of us noticed it.I'm not just that malicious at all. This is a relief.

Carl sighed and faced us with an apologizing looks."Okay. Honestly, i lied. I didn't bought these things by myself...it was my father"

I frowned at him. "You mean, you and your father...okay now?!"

"Actually, Dad and Mom reconciled. My Father and his wife got divorced because Dad realized he loves Mom so much. And now, he was trying to fill his omissions since he lost..."

I am simultaneosly surprised, happy, jealoused and a bit disappointed. But nothing changed, he's still a friend for me.

"...Im sorry guys. I know i'd told you before to never touch Dad's money because i loathed him. I lied, i never loath him. All these times, im just wanting him to be with us again, that's why..."

"You don't need to apologize Carl. We may be disappointed that you lied. But we can't feel anything but be happy for you" I said. I mean it. Though i have mixed emotions, im happpy for my friend. Yet this news, really touched my fragile side. 'How about me? Will my parents love me again?'

"Andre's right Carl! We're a bit shock  but you know, we have this promise to be friends for better or for worst, remember? You're better now! So nothing changed except when you bought the things to attract girls. Of course, u don't. Do you?"  Its Johanna.
