Chapter 4: Magellan Powerless

After Hancock snuck Luffy inside, he started to navigate the huge prison.

"Man, this place is huuuuge!" He shouted, walking down the huge hallway. Prisoners were screaming for him to help. A rumbling shook through the ground. "Huh?" As it turns out, he accidentally tripped a trap. A boulder fell from a hole in the ceiling and chased him, Indiana Jones style.

"Woah! That's so cool!" Being chased through one curved hallway to another, he ran smack into someone. "Agh! Who flashing rammed into me!" Buggy looked up at Luffy. "Ah! It's you!" "Who are you?" "Buggy! Buggy the Clown! You fought me in the East Blue!"

"Hmm......................

Oh! You! What are you doing here?" "After you shot em away, I went on a grand search for my body! And then, after I found my body, I went on a search for treasure and.... got caught by the navy." "Oh. I need to rescue Ace. Do you know a way through?"
"Like I'd tell you!"

But, he would be easily persuaded. As it turned out, the arm band on Luffy was a guide to Captain John's treasure. So, they ran around looking for a way down.

But, the couldn't find it. "I swear it was right here!" Biggy pounded on the ground. "Oh! Is it easier to break my way to level 5?" Luffy pounded the ground open in gear 3, and just did that until they reached level 3, where the sand was too hot for him to punch. So, they found the way to level 4, beating the minotaur and finding Bon Clay along the way. They were detected in level 2.

In burning hell, they were met with an army. Luffy bashed his way through. But, a man at the end of the bridge posed a problem. Warden Magellan.

"So, you're Straw Hat Luffy?" He breathed, and the air became thick with poison. "You don't look so tough. How the helll did you even manage to take down Crocodile and Moria?" His fist turned to poison. "Either stop your rampage and be executed or die here." "I'm not gonna die! I'm the man who'll be the Pirate King!" Globs of poison and a fist were holed at him. He couldn't even react. But, he was protected by Bon Clay. "Straw-chan, you need to save your brother. I'm not gonna let you die here!" Then, he collapsed.

Seconds passed as he fell. It felt like hours. Luffy's face scrunched up, furious.

"Toru-Gomu no..." His arm stretched out, and his fist was cloaked in the translucent blue flames of the Toru-Toru no mi. Then, he went for the punch. "Theif's Pistol!" His fist went for Magellan's face. He turned it to pison. "Fool. As if you could-" When the fist connected, Magellan felt pain. Then, the flames on Luffy's hand made the shape of a hand. And, even though Luffy's arm retracted, the flames didn't. They grabbed the poison of Magellan's face. The flame hand ripped the poison out. It pulled out a Magellan made of Poison from it, and Magellan turned completely normal. Then, the flames retracted, holding the poison Magellan. The poison Magellan became a tendril of poison, and entered Luffy's arm.

Luffy's fist opened, and poison started to drip from it. Actually, to be precise, his palm was poison. "Huh?" He shook his hand. Poison splattered everywhere. "Aaah! Wait, it doesn't hurt." He tried, and his arm turned to poison. "Oh!" He readied a punch. "Doku-Doku no...." Hu punched and his poison fist stretched and burnt Magellan's chest. "Poison Rifle!"

Magellan was unconscious. The rats of the men left were terrified. Luffy's arm turned to normal. "Bon-chan!" He picked up Mr.2 and carried him on his back, sprinting down to frozen hell.

He cried out for help for his friend. The whole New Kama Land part happens. They go down to find that Ace has already been taken. Jimbei offers to join the effort to save Ace. Crocodile also joins them, but this is where the story differs.

"Straw Hat." "Hm?" Luffy looked over his shoulder at Crocodile. "I'd like to think of myself as a smart man. My goal was to take over the world and become the king. However, it's becoming increasingly obvious that that won't happen. So, I'll take the next best thing."

"What are you talking about?" "Let me be a part of your crew. To be more precise, let me become the start of a fleet for you." "Hmm." For a "not-so-smart not-so-dumb guy, Luffy could think of the pros and cons of this offer seriously. "Okay. But I'm gonna lay out some ground rules when we get back from saving Ace, alright?" "Fine by me, Captain." "Alright!"
