BRUISED HEARTS [ONGOING]

PROLOGUE

I couldn't form words to speak about what just happened. I meant so much to him. He said he'd even change for me.
But why?

"I don't even know what I'm supposed to say Enzo"

"I mean it Rose, I'd do literally anything for you to never leave me." He said almost desperately tightening his hold on my hands.

"I'm not going to leave you. It's just that I was raised in a very violent household and I just cannot stand people being loud and aggressive. That's it. Nothing else."

He took a deep breath and looked me dead serious in the eyes.
"Well then, I give you my word that I won't be fighting anymore or portray any type of fierceness."

I looked taken back thinking it was a joke but he seemed adamant about his words.
He can't just keep promises like that.

"You can't just stop doing certain things for me when it is an important part in your life. Thats your job and you cant just give that up for something so silly like me."

I told him but he only slightly smiled and stared deep into my eyes. And his next few words were enough to leave me speechless.

"I'd give up the world for you Rose."

ROSE CARTER

" A rose must remain with the sun and the rain or its lovely promise won't come true."

She was Rose, whose name replicated herself.

Graduated out of New York University with top rank and secured the highest paying job of a Cyber Technician at a million dollar company.

Daughter to two people who wasn't the least bothered about her.

Rose really isn't the girl who everyone makes out her to be. Maybe she was the happy outgoing girl but there was a whole lot to her that the world didn't know about.

Trying hard to fill the empty hole in her heart, she finally gives up on finding love.
Just when she thought she'd never be good enough for anyone, she ends up falling for her grumpy neighbor who proves her wrong. Her prince charming finally dashes into her life disguised as the dangerous guy who everyone tries to stay away from and she fell head over heels for him.

Everyone knew not to mess with him.
He could do all bad things and still not have the slightest remorse. Most would assume he was heartless but they dont know how brutally it had shattered a very long time ago.

No one and nothing could heal him or his broken heart. But then at the most unexpected time, he meets a particular someone. Something starts to beat in the midst of his heart when he first saw her.

She seemed to be the most innocent thing he had ever seen.
A sunshine that brightened his life.

As time went by, he begins to relax in her presence. Finally, finding the feeling of fulfilment in certain ways only through her touch, he knew he couldn't bare to lose her.
And never in a thousand years would he have thought that she could fix what no one else could dare to.
The realization slowly dawns upon him that he has a heart that beats for her.
